Does anyone know were I can download movies that are out already? I remeber on the show a couple of days ago that Anthony said he was watching Blade 2 on his computer for free, and Steve C. said that he saw Jason X already. I would be grateful for those who would respond.

Try using this for movies. I just hope you have a broadband connection and some time - the file sizes are HUGE.

Happy hunting.

What if I want more than just chatting? What if I want to be your friend?

What's a boy to do then?

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Oh, BABY!

BTW... a little birdie told me that your AIM link may not be working correctly. Something about just "OA" coming up in the name screen, and the "Hey Goat!" not displaying in the text field. Now I don't know the validity or invalidity of this personally, I just thought that I'd pass that along.

Maybe it is working just fine, and it was the fault of that other AIM user.

Please pass along my thanks and appreciation to that little birdie. I took a look and sure enough, the coding was off so I cleaned it up - looks like it's working now (even though I had to edit the message field for some reason).

So if the little birdie ever needs a favor, tell him to IM me - esp. now that it works

The birdie told me to tell you that any spaces in the username and/or Text field could be the issue. I am quoting the birdie here. If that is incorrect information, shoot the birdie and not the messenger :-D

P.S. If the OA.com member, Turk, is one of your AIM chat buddies, his code has a similiar issue. Again, not that I would know personally. ;)

The birdie is right about the spacing, that seems to have been the issue. Funny, I thought it worked when I set it up initially, but it looks like I should check out my coding more often.

And no, I'm not a friend of Turk, but should I see him in a thread and the problem is still there, I'll be sure to pass on the knowledge of the all-knowing little birdie. I can see him being a busy little birdie with some of the html-hacks that hang on this site LMAO!

Again, please pass along major kudos to the birdie. His input, as always, is much appreciated.

All bets are off after any space in that particular code, so the birdie says.

If you have a space... like say your name is "OA Turk", you need to put it as OATurk."

As far as what the birdie says, OA Turk and OATurk are both registered to you. Apparantly, AIM accomodates for the spaces, and the registered user of that name can add/remove spaces at will.

On the flipside, the code does not accomodate for that, but it will work whether or not the user currently has their name configured with or without spaces.

I hope that all makes sense. Forgive me if it seems a little confusing. After all, I am relaying this information second hand.

No no, I thought you were insinuating that she was.

After all, you didn't name names.

I have nothing good nor bad to say about the man - I'm just not a fan. I can respect what he has done (and apparently continues to do) for music, but he's not really my cup of tea.
