Not a fan of the comic book but want to bang Kirsten Dunst like there is no tommorrow. O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I thought it was very good. Franco was good and has a character basis for the rest of the franchise, I liked the reference to the man who will become Lizard, Norton!!!, and Dafoe fucking ruled, Green Goblin was one of the best comic book movie villains ever. As for the trailers, once again the Hulk teaser- I have no idea why I like it, you see nothing, it's so small but something about it just gets me really excited over the film, and The Incredible Hulk was one of my, if not the, favorite comic hero of mine as a youth. I mean he wasn't the best, I wasn't the most amazed with him, he didn't have the best powers but something appealed to me. EDIT: I can't believe I forgot the best comic --> movie transition- our very own Schillinger as J. Jonah Jameson. He had him DOWN!!! Not just the look but the mannerisms and everything. O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00 | No question in my mind. Best Comic Movie ever!!!!!! I hoped this movie was going to be an experience and it was. There were no wasted scenes in the movie whatsoever. Everything had a place and meant something either to this story or future stories. The rain scene with the famous kiss between spidey and MJ was in a word, magical. The fight scenes were well choreographed and intense and Dafoe was just the man as both the Goblin and Norman Osbourne. He plays a nutcase pretty well. lol And the ending with both harry's foreshadowing comment and the scene with Parker and MJ just finished up what was a great movie. As you can see I loved it and I plan on going to see it again. Like ikea said, the guy who played Jameson was really good and he had the character down perfectly. Another thing I loved was the fact that Raimi left the scene where you can see the Twin Towers in spidey's eyes stay. I was surprised to see it, but glad that he left it intact. Overall a great movie experience and one I highly reccommend. The previews...Spy kids 2....Care?? Mr Deeds...looks very funny, maybe a decent Adam Sandler film. The Hulk...I'm with ikea on this one. They showed nothing but for some reason it worked well. MIB 2...Looks pretty good too. Being a fan of the first one, I can't wait to see this one too. On a side note, I was talking to a friend of mine at work and he said his friend saw a preview of Daredevil with their Spiderman movie. No scenes, it just said Valentine 2003. Love is Blind...Then the 2 D logo popped on the screen and announced Daredevil. I'm only laughing on the outside My smile is just skin deep If you could see inside I'm really crying You might join me for a weep.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 01 | I saw it last night and I enjoyed it. Willem Dafoe was excellent (as usual) as the GG and so was that newspaper boss guy. I was never really that much into Spiderman. I thought some of the dialog was pretty cheesy and the plot predictable which is usually the case for many comic-to-movie flicks. The movie also gave off a real chick flick type thing but overall it was pretty cool. Hot chick, superhero, cool villian: all the ingredients for a cool film. But I thought the first Batman was better. Does anyone remember those Spiderman skits they used to have on the Electric Company on PBS many years ago? Funny shit. This guy would come out in a Spiderman suit and his enemy, the Sandman, would come out with a bag of sand and throw a handful into his eyes. Classic. What the fuck ever happened to that show?

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | I haven't seen the movie yet but I heard that they got rid of Spidey's web-slingers and made it a natural power. That kind of disappoints me, I don't like it when they change the story. Any mention of Spidey being a wrestler or his dad dying (the faithful know these things are related). The wrestling is also where Spidey learned how to fight. I don't expect them to include this stuff, but I am just curious.

Not these directors that just ruin a great comic(the last batman movies, awful)quote: In the comic, his son becomes the Hobgoblin to get revenge for his fathers death. I think in the next movie, the villian is Dr. Octopus. Side note:Anybody catch who played the punk rock girl after notorns clip? O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | the movie kicked ass. tobey maguire did really well with the part. dafoe was great and had the creepiness down. kirsten dunst looked amazing with the red hair, and was good as mary jane. The story was pretty good, and ended very nicely. that fight scene between peter and flash was really cool. the way they panned around the hallway showing everything that was happening and then going back to real time with flash punching the locker was awesome. the special effects were great overall. The reflections in spidermans eyes were very cool, especially when the goblin's bomb explodes near his face. Sam Raimi did a great job and i cant wait to see the next one. AIM | E-MAIL
