Psychopath Registered: Jul. 00	Around 1987 The Pixies recorded 17 songs which were never released as a single entity. This collection of songs has come to be known as "The Purple Tape," although some tracks were released on "Come on Pilgrim" and later albums. These are the remaining 9 songs. Love the raw sound of some of those over produced songs ie. Here Comes Your Man and Subbacultcha.(never really did understand why HCYM was a single as apposed to Debaser, Tame, WoM, Bleed or Gouge) I'm Amazed has a little extra added to it. nice. In Heaven, always better live but nice to hear the studio version. Rock A My Soul, Violent Femmes sounding in a good way. Broken Face and Break My Body. not much different than the Surfer Rosa version. still great. Build High and Down to the Well. I've always thought of 'Build' as a filler song. 'DTTW' is as good as the 'Nova version. Nice to finnaly hear better versions then the ones i've downloaded. Next it's the DVD!!!! Discuss you fucks!!! oh I almost forgot. spinART puts a nice reminder in the CD fold out that Frank Black's 2 new CD's, Black Letter Days and The Devils Workshop. Thomas
