Holy shit! Just saw this flick last night and it is amazing. Definately lived up to the hype around it. Hanks will be nominated for Oscar guh, guh, guh, and Newman is a lock for Best Supporting Actor.

Mendes is unbelievable. His first film, "American Beauty", was great and this is probably just as good. The mood and tone worked with the costumes which worked with cinematography which supported the great acting performances.

Definately the highest recomendation to go see this movie. It's probably one of my favorite movies ever.

And don't fuck with the Irish!

I thought it was a good movie. Better than I thought it would be. I would not even compare it to the other Oscar favorite Insomnia. I just thought Insomnia was better. Pual Newman was great in this movie, but I would rate it excellent. An above average movie at best.

Tom Hanks was incredible in this he has to be without a doubt the best working actor around today..This movie should definitely walk with some Oscars including best actor for Hanks..I left the theatre thinking I just saw a movie people will talk about for years........
Insomnia was good definitely Pacinos best role in years but after seeing it the only thing you remember about it is how good Pacino was in it..not the movie..
movie to look out for is One Hour Photo with Robin Williams just watched a copy of it today and he is becoming one hell of an actor..

wtf I just noticed I have a seam along my scrotum.

can this be considered a run-on since there is not a point where only a single period is used?

ARE YOU NUTS???!?!!? He always was one hell of an actor. Robin Williams if I ain't mistaken was trained at Juliard. He just hasn't really done too many serious roles..or even bad guy roles. He's been typecast as a funny guy for most of his flix. I think the mullet is affecting your brain pal.

Saw the movie Friday, what a great film. First 30 minutes were slow, but that was to be expected, to set everything up. Tom Hanks is great in this movie, and the killing is awesome.

I saw Insomnia, and i loved that movie too. That would be a good battle to see whod win best picture. They are 2 different movies, so its hard for me to tell, because i enjoyed them both.

Thanks to Austin for the pic

Sorry....I saw this flik on Friday. Was very very dissapoited in it. Ok...flat out...I thought it sucked. Paul Newman was made a lousy mob boss, Hanks was good in it...I just kept seeing Forrest Gump gun down people. Thought it would be better...thats all!!

You're right about the Insomnia/Perdition battle. I would have to give the edge to Perdition because of the mob angle but both should be Oscar guh, guh, guh, contenders.

the movie itself was decent, although i found it to be predictable. tom hanks performance was great, as usual. pal newman's irish brouge (sp?) was terrible and his performance was nothing like his past movies.
