| Hanger-On Registered: Jul. 01  | hey, have any of you heard the new album from the Gorillaz? It's just great trippy, futuristic hip hop. The Gorillaz are an animated group and the music is produced by Del the Funkee Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Damon Albarn. I have to admit that I'm a huge Del fan, and his cameos on the album are fantastic, but, surprisingly, it's the Automator that really saves the day. I highly recommend checking it out. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | It's definately more of a rock band than comedy. Ever since I first saw the video, I've been humming the song "Clint Eastwood" plus with Daman Albren on vocals, it makes it 100X better. I always loved Blur. | ||||

I just recently read an article on them, and what they are trying to do with the animation is take away the glorifying of the Rock Star, and make it all about the misuc. All of the artists in the band have some other thing that they work on, so they formed this and just make some really great music. The animation isn't supposed to be funny or a joke, it's just a made up group, and made up events that they go through. Picture it like one of those MTV cartoon shows, with a soundtrack by the Gorillaz. | ||||
