OK, I know we have all bought albums we aren't proud of, in the past. You know, it's the ones hidden away that you will never admit to owning. Well to make it a bit earier, I'll start.

*Britney Spears - Oops I did it again...
*Spice Girls - Spice
*Spice Girls - Spice World (hey, I'm a fan!)
*ABBA - Greatest Hits
*Roy Orbison's Greatest Hits

Now that I made a tool of myself feel free to share!

While most of my CD collection consists of Van Halen, Motley Crue, Metallica, etc....everyone has that CD they don't ever pull out in front of people their own age, but listen to when they are alone. Usually this is something that they hahve had beaten into their head while in the back seat of the car and Mom or Dad has control of the music. I almost called the Chick Show (R.I.P.)this Thursday when this topic came up...mine is Barry Manilow. I actually own his box set...ouch!

i have an entire cd of 80s power ballads that i burned...the cd is kept in a locked case until i listen to it.the mp3s were deleted the second i finished burining it

last time, the insects got me, but

This is the song that doesn’t end, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, but they’ll continue singing it forever just because this is the song that doesn’t end yes it goes on and on my friend. Worst CD I ever bought was Pat Boone Metal. It was cheap, and I wanted to see if it could be as bad as I thought it would be. It was horrible. We took it to the range and used it for target practice.

Sorry but as an Alanis freak I take offense to that - it seriously is one of the best albums! :)

Now on to my shameful collection:

Britney Spears: Baby One More Time, Ooops I Did It Again
Backstreet Boys: I own 'em all :(
N*Sync: Own 'em all
New Kids: Greatest Hits

Us And Them: Symphonic Pink Floyd,
When I first bought the Album I though it was Pink Floyd Playing with the London Phillharmonic (had to check my spelling) Orchestra.. But it was just the Orchestra covering Pink Floyd songs. The CD sits collecting dust, Cant sell the damn thing because after I first listend to it I threw it across the room and its scrached up.

Oh yea!

LGAIA....first of all, embrace your hair-band past. If you were listening to music then, what else would you have? Wouldn't it be a little more embarassing to own the New Kids on the Block's Hangin' Tough or something along those lines. Besides, take away the Aqua-Net and the album still rocks. And, personally, I think the movie scores show a touch of class...who doesn't have either a John Williams score, or the Godfather Suite or something like that in their collection? Be proud!

I dont know, I listen to Motley now and I cant help but notice how 80's it is, even though on some level I dig 80's music. I have quite a few scores actually, allot of Danny Elfman scores (Tim Burton Movies), Hans Zimmer,The crow, Last of the Mohicans, Empire of the sun...ok you got the idea. I guess its cool, I just didnt know if other people possesed them. Not that if no one did it would change my mind, still like em'.

Spe said it well about Crue. Even if that stuff has a definative 80s sound to it, I think it still rocks. Maybe even give it 10 more years and its gonna be "classic rock."
Personally I think a lot of stuff considered classic rock sounds both dated and sucks. At least you knew what you were getting with the Crue music. It went for a cetain sound in the 80s and didnt pull any bullshit. Its fast, loud, glam.

Uh...Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, U2, REM, New Order, The Cure, Run DMC, Public Enemy, NWA, Paula Abdul;)...
Down with hair bands!!

And there's absoutely nothing embarassing about owning movie scores. I own most Elfman and John Williams scores, among others. It shows musical diversity, nothing to be ashamed of.

Now, I own a few video game soundtracks. Should I be embarassed of that??
