I see a lot of lyrics posted about a lot of songs. What I would like to see, as a huge Pink Floyd fan myself, is some of your experiences. Whether it's a concert memory, a favorite song, or you just plain love to listen to them.

The only time I saw them was "The Momentary Lapse Of Reason" tour. Last time I got stoned and the first time I ever saw anyone in a drum cage.

I love Floyd, I have seen them a bunch of times, at least 2 or so of their past 3 tours each. I have had quite a few where I am so wasted that I barely can stand, but htat made it that much more fun.

Actually for those who know me, I have a cool tattoo on my arm of the hammers from the Wall, It is totally original and I love it when people actually know what it is. My favorite song live has to be either Hey You or High Hopes, off the Division Bell, totally phenominal to hear live, even though Waters is no longer with them.

This is the song that doesn’t end, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, but they’ll continue singing it forever just because this is the song that doesn’t end yes it goes on and on my friend. F-tard my favorite song is Comfortably Numb, man I smoked a lot of pot in those days. Funny thing about PF is you can't listen to one song, you gotta hear the whole CD.

Totally, I cant say that any of their cds have any bad songs on them. Animals is excellent too.

I don't know if it still is true, but I think at one time Dark Side of the Moon had the record for longest time on billboard 100.

And amazingly enough, if you start the cd at the right point, at the beginning of the movie, the wizard of oz, the music and the movie sorta do go together, very cool, like dramatic music.

One great song, from the wall which was not on the album, but was on the soundtrack was when the tigers broke free. Great f'n song. If you havent heard it, hear it it is awesome.

One question Kingpin...

If it is subliminal, how do you know?

I just borrowed a book from a friend that goes extremely in-depth into every Pink Floyd album...the philosophies behind each song, what certain sound affects, lyrics, chords and notes symbolize, etc. etc. It's amazing how much work they put into each album, even small nuances in their songs give greater meaning to the whole piece. It's really amazing! Their albums are works of art. When I get home, I'll get the name of it for you guys, it's a must-read for hardcore fans.

pink floyd are my favorite band of all time.
i discovered them back in 96' when i was 13, so i have never seen them live, only roger waters, but it was still great.
i begun to listen to them when i saw 'the wall', the first thing that cauhgt my attention was the animation, but the second time i saw it, it was the music that took center stage. after buying the album i was litening to it at least twice a day, and to this day it still not old.
darkside, animals, division bell, wish you were here, meddley, are all great pieces of art.
in simpler words, there will never be another band like pink floyd.

I am a huge floyd fan. I was disappointed, last time they were on tour I was on vacation in California. I did catch Roger Waters at PNC a few years ago though, and it was amazing.

KP...like you the only time I got to see them was on the "Momentarily Lapse of Reason" tour. But, between the pig (not Wilbur), the plane crashes, the lasers and that fucking disco ball at the end...it is the most incredible show I've been to. I had no voice for 3 days afterwards.

Went to a few black light Wall parties that I don't remember too much about...LOL. My brother's nickname growing up was Floyd because that's all he listened too.....so I got introduced to them early on, and still love their music.

Besides Comfortably Numb, I'd have to say On The Turning Away and Mother are my favorite tunes by them.

I also agree that you can't just listen to one song...its the whole CD or nothing :-)

hey kids...I like floyd, don't love em like I do the dead, but I still like em a lot. Check out the Beta Band. Kick ass band. Kind of have a Floydian rock edge with mellow jams. They're shit is readily available on Morpheus and other file sharing. They were given rave reviews in "stuff" magazine

I am a Floyd fan. I was at a Marijuana festival (HempSplash at Lembo Lake NY) a couple years back and they played the Wizard of Oz on a big screen with the Dark Side of the Moon playing over the speakers. There was plenty of good acid and mushrooms to be taken (I was peaking SOOOOO HARD!) and there were Nitrous Oxide balloons for sale everywhere. Beautiful experience!!!
One of my best trips ever. And to top it off they converted the tent into a rave after the movie.

Ive seen Floyd live twice (yankee stadium and giants stadium)- both shows were intense psychedelic experiences.
