O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	I like the new "I can change my topic" feature. Very nice... Lure "them" in and then change the topic to "Everyone that posts here is gay". The potential for fun is just limitless. On a slightly more serious note. Remember way back in the olden days when there were two sets of "previous topic" and "next topic" links on each page of a thread, one at top and one at bottom? Well, a while back... think it was about a year or so ago. The ones on the bottom went away. Don't get me wrong. I love most the changes that have been made to the board in the short time that I've been a member. But, I really liked having that "next topic" link at the bottom. Because I read the replies from top to bottom and then have to scroll all the way back up to the top to proceed to the next topic. Yeah, I know I could just use the "home" key but, them I gotta take my hand off the mouse, hit the key and, back to the mouse. Anyone knows a better way, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'll paciently await the return of the "next topic" link from the bottom. Long Live the "Syndication Underground"

O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 01	If you right click on the Back arrow at the top of the browser, and choose the second line from the bottom, you go back to the forum you started in. I do that after I reply to things too, except then it is second from the top. (This may or may not make any sense, but it works for me) I want a girl that smells the coffee ... I want a girl who spills the wine ... I want a girl with mangled hair and words that never quite define ... I want a girl with a short skirt and a looooooooong ... jacket

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	Yeah, that works too... but, it's WAY over on the other side of the screen and all the way up on top... and, my cursor is usually down in the lower right corner while scrolling through posts. Thanks though, it's sure closer than scrolling way back up the page... God, I am soo effin lazy... Long Live the "Syndication Underground"

Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01	I think, don't quote me on it, there is a program that expands the mouse buttons so you could set up events when the mouse buttons are pressed. Find the program and set up the middle mouse button to be the back button on explorer. That may work. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Sorry guys, I had completely missed this thread. I didn't know anyone actually used those links - BUT - harmless as they may have seemed, they actually slowed the board down immensely. That's cause they included a loop that queried our database literally thousands of times. And thousands of times for EVERY time you read a post really drags us down, especially during peak hours. Sorry to you guys if you like it, but it did more harm than good. The second I took it out, the board started to fly, with 30 members logged in at 5pm. Everyone else has a scrolling marquee in their sigs. I was beginning to feel left out. "Miracles and lucky charms made the girl of my dreams the girl in my arms." - Dr. Frank

Even with the site going faster, I guess something happened such that logins automatically got logged out.... and yet still showed up on the logged in page.... it seems to have resolved itself though. O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00	So, both the upper & lower next/previous links are gone for good? Well, it's a hassel but, hell if it makes the board run faster. I'll get over it.
