I was wondering if anyone could help. I built a new computer that has onboard Raid controllers. The company only sent me the driver but not the utility disc. The one I need is called ATA 133 Raid Fastckeck Monitoring Utility. I have 2-40 gig drives set as a mirror array. The problem is that without the missing utility I cant set-up the scheduler to do disc syncro. The vender (MWAVE.com is useless, the mfg MSI is useless and I am about to snap. I am opened to any solutions or suggestions.....Thanks in advance!

Wow, I'm usually fairly savvy with the tech-talk, but I am absolutely clueless what you're talking about.

Yahoo sucks. Just picture a baby flipping you off here.

Read between the crossed out lines. That is what looks to be the erroneous data

Albadabing, have you tried downloading the utility disk from kazaa or limewire or cute? Have you called them and asked them to send the disk to your home?!? Unless you're JGNYC, you bought the hardware and software. I believe you are entitled to it. :-D

You know, I've never played with the new onboard RAID controllers for PCs..... but if they work anything like a server's RAID controller, it just does all reads and writes to BOTH disks, all the time, in a mirror set. No synchronization necessary.

Did you buy a OEM board, or a Retail board?
A retail board you are entitled to get any and all software.

Try posting to usenet alt.comps.periph.mainboards.msi-microstar
or msi's own message boards about sources.

Which board?
I plan on getting MSI KT3-ultra ARU, but god knows when I'll get around to actually doing it.

Well, when my fellow friends here at OA.com can't help me, I go to ARS Technica. Bunch of very helpful and knowlegeable people over there.

Thanks to everyone who helped. I now have everything I need. Promise technology the maker of the software had me download the software from their web-site. Its called Fast track tx 200 ver 30.0028. Just to answer some of the questions: the mother-board was an MSI 845 Ultra-ARU with onboard raid. It was a retail box and did come with a cd that had some drivers and software. But it didn't have the utility I needeed that was explained in the book (that was included). After doing some research I found the maker of the software and contacted them. For the record, Promise Technology was very helpful and very knowledgable.(Unlike Mwave.com and MSI who have useless tech-support and customer service.) Once again thank you to everyone on the board.Av8er thats a great site which I have bookmarked for future ref. As a fellow A+,MCSE, its amazing sometimes the good resources that are out there :-D
