This is the perfect situation because the NBA was wary of a Long Island NBA team because they didn't want a 3rd NBA team in the NY market. The NBA team will get more supporters for a complete Coliseum renovation, including uprading of transportation to the Coliseum. The proposed rebuilding of Uniondale will be complete and then life will be complete. All we need is for YankeeNets to sell half their name. Here we go, it's gonna happen; the return of the NY Nets. After a long hiatus, I will return to being an NBA fan again. By the way, it's Dakota now, not North Dakota :) | ||||

It was sketchy enough that Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was going to move the St. Louis Blues there, but Utah? I think the largest number of NHL players you'll ever see in that state is when they're playing in the Olympics there next year, but that's about it. Paul Allen's name has always come up though and he's always looking to pounce on weak franchises and move them to Portland so someone can share the Trailblazers' building. I remember years back there was talk of having a team in Seattle, but Canucks exhibition games didn't draw very well and that plan seemed to fizzle out. If Carolina's attendence doesn't improve they would also be a likely relocation candidate. There are definitely cities out there that want a team, but none that jump out at me.
