| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | NEW YORK (AP) -- There have been no professional sports played in New York since the World Trade Center was attacked. That will change Wednesday night when the New York Rangers play their first home exhibition game under heightened security. "We ask fans attending future events to leave extra time to enter the arena," Madison Square Garden officials said in a statement. "Fans are asked not to bring packages or briefcases as they will be inspected as deemed appropriate." The exhibition game against the New Jersey Devils was expected to mark Eric Lindros' first home appearance in a Rangers uniform, but his status was uncertain because of a knee injury sustained last Friday. Lindros sat out New York's 3-2 victory over the Red Wings in Detroit on Monday night.  | ||||

I checked Newsday, The Post, and The Daily News to see if the game was on Tonight and all of them had nothing for it on the "SPorts on TV" section on the stats page. and on the TV guideline on the Post, it had different programming for Metro Guide. Luckily I was flipping through the channels and saw it on after the First Period. I caught the last 2 periods and it was nice to see. But its meaningless. Its Pre-Season. Win 6-1 against the Devils in a couple of months, and then I will be ecstatic. quote: Whoever is #1, must be really f'n retarded.
