he undisputed middleweight championship bout between IBF/WBC champ Bernard Hopkins and WBA champ Felix Trinidad has been rescheduled for Sept. 29 at Madison Square Garden. The announcement was made yesterday by the Garden. All the tickets from Sept. 15 will be honored.

The bout was originally scheduled for Sept. 15 and was postponed because of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Promoter Don King had pushed for the Sept. 29 date and it became available when the organizers of an Olympic-style wrestling championship canceled the event at the Garden. HBO, which will broadcast the bout on pay-per-view, doesn't have a problem with Sept. 29.

Bobby Goodman, vice president of operations for Don King Promotions, said only Ricardo Lopez, fighting on the undercard, and Hopkins had left Manhattan. Lopez went back to Mexico on Monday, but has vowed to return. Hopkins went home to suburban Wilmington, Del., last Wednesday, but is now in Philadelphia working out. Trinidad has remained in Manhattan, working out uptown.

The show is close to a sellout, with fewer than 1,000 of the 18,500 tickets remaining.

IT does not matter if they hold that fight today tommorrow or next week Hopkins is about to take an ass whooping of historic preportions. He could not win that fight if he had three hands.

I wouldn't count hopkins out, any man can lose at anytime. There is no sure thing anymore, we should all know that by now.
