Yes I am a bitter Flyers fan. In case you forgot, he cried his way off of Quebec before he even came to the Flyers, so I never liked him even when he was on the Flyers. He's playing great now, but soon enough you guys will know why I hate him. That being said, Theo Fleury rules!

Yeah Im sure you never liked Eric Lindros. When he was the most dominant player in the league 5 years ago and taking your team to the Finals, Im sure you had a liking for him.

This dumb Flyer fan is only talking like that about Lindros because he's not a Flyer anymore. I'm sure that if Lindros never had the issue with Clarke and was still playing for the Flyers he would be Squidwards hero. Get outta the Ranger thread, look back a couple pages, and talk trash about him in the Flyer Thread.

Okay, if the rangers are going to do anything this year, they need to start playing smart. They can't keep taking penaltys, bad ones, and giving the other team PP chances. Once that happens, the shots on goal increase. 50 shots on goal a game is gonna kill us. Start playing smarter = being more gooder. That is all for now....

I realize what I said before was a little harsh and I apologize for that. I also probably should never have said I never liked, but never respected him for what he did to Quebec. Of course, I cheered for him when the Flyers were in the playoffs, but he really wasn't my hero. LeClair was. Anyway, you're right, this is a Rangers thread and I won't bash them anymore. I really didn't mean anything personal by it, just a little ballbreaking. One of my best friends is a huge Rangers fan and we break each others balls about it. Besides, Theo Fleury is one of my all time favorite hockey players, and I prefer bashing the Red Wings anyway.

I don't think there are any Wings fans on the board, but Squiward, you go do that! Anyway, the next game is against the Preds and hopefully the Rangers can get 2 points out of that one! After that they face the Abres, I think, which should be a good match to watch. Hopefully the Rangers can get a streak going.

Fluery and Lindros were added to the Canada's olympic team today for those who don't subscribe to blueshirts extra. :)

I'm glad they put Fleury on. It was a given that Lindros would be named to the team as soon as he said he wanted to play. Rangers played an all round great game last night. Defense played a great game. Needed this game to break the winless streak. I'm very glad to see Barnaby coming in and doing what he does best. Especially against his first team he played for.

Good win vs. Panthers. Yes, I know Panthers suck (except for Luongo), and they had beat both devils and Islanders before on this trip (no team has ever beaten all 3 teams on one trip). However, When Fleury took that double game misconduct with Rangers down 2-0 in first, I thought they were done.
Instead Rangers stepped it up. Panthers had 9 shots in 1st, but got only 7 more for the rest of the game. Rangers killed the 5 minute PP, and put together a solid effort with only 9 forwards left in game to pull out a 4-2 win.

Good gut check - Winning without Fleury Lindros & Richter.
Mathew Barnaby - one of those players you hate on opposing teams, but love on yours. Did nice job on Nedved's line. Nice game also for Andreas Johansson.

Speaking of Luongo (whom Icelanders gave up too soon), he made a highlight reel save. If you didn't see it, he was flat on his back and stopped puck with his glove hand.

York should have lifted the puck on that play where Luongo robbed him. Anyway it was a great win for the team after what transpired the first 7 minutes.

You had Blackburn give up 2 awful goals in the first 5 minutes, Your playing without your best player in Lindros, your next best player Fleury gets thrown out, throw onto that a key player Sandy McCarthy gets thrown out, and now you have to kill off a 5 minute Major. I thought they were in serious trouble, but they won it and now we move on to 2 Key Games.

Ill be at the game tonight against the Devils, who are winless in their last 2 games against the Rangers. (Feels good to say that). And after a Ranger win I would rub it in the Devils fans faces, but Devil fans dont post here anymore, so there goes that. But I have this crazy feeling that if the Devils do win, then the Spiderbobs, JJ's, and the rest of the Devils fans of the world will suddenly reappear on the scene.

Bad news is that Lindros is likely not going to play, and theres a good chance he is going to miss the Islander game on Friday as well.

I heard JD on with the Sports Guys this morning (with Scott Ferral??????????) He said Lindros had improved quite a bit in last 24 hrs. While tonight is improbable, the is likely to play Friday.

side notes: Darren Van Impe claimed by Panthers; Lefebvre playing well since returning from minors; Kloucek riding pines (we need him to get back in there and play better than he has - not tentative); Barnaby getting ice time and deserving it.

Looks good; Let's keep it up.

Solid game vs. Devils, esp. since Lindros & Messier were both out.

Once again, however, we are undone by problems defending the PP.

This was an excellent Hockey Game that had bits of everything in it. The Rangers stood in there without Lindros and Messier and earned the 1 point

I wish York would have made a move around Brodeur on that last play in Overtime, he usually goes around the goaltender, he probably thought he didnt have enough time.

I came home and saw the replays of this game, and both teams had excellent chances to score in this game. Fleury was robbed with about 30 seconds left in regulation, and Nedved just hit the outside of the post in OT. The Devils also hit some posts and crossbars.

You knew their was no way that Colin White was scoring on a Penalty Shot against Richter. I was happy to see it be a Penalty Shot, because I knew he wasnt going to score and that a Richter Save would spark the Rangers, who were throroughly outplayed the first 5 minutes of the game.

Now hopefully Lindros and Messier will be back for the Islanders, and we will slap them around again.

I love seeing the rangers and devils play. Its always a great game. Even when the rangers would always loose to them, they were still great games. Great goaltending, Richter stopping another penalty shot, stunning. If Lindros or Messier plays that game, I think we come out with a win.
The defense has played a little better lately, but penaltys and penalty killing is hurting us. Every powerplay the other team gets, almost everytime they score.
But that's in the past, BRING ON THE ISLANDERS!!! Cairns you big baby, I can't wait see his ass get dropped. I hope Theo does the chicken dance all over his face...

Well as long as they stay out of the box, they will be OK. They were only shorthanded twice against the Devils, granted the Devils scored both times, but thats what saved the Rangers. If they would have been short handed their usually 6 or 7 times, theres no way they get a point in that game.

And by the way, they lose to the Devils, not loose to the Devils.

I feel bad for the poor guy. He's so damn strong when he hits people he tends to just knock them on their ass and then refs right away throw their arm up and off he goes. It seems like the Rangers are getting hit with a slew of "questionable" borderline calls, which is going to make any team tentative in a game. You start pulling up from hitting someone because you're afraid you're going to get whistled for it.
Anyway.....great win yesterday against the Sens. Huge late goal from Nedved to go into the Holiday break and a tough road trip on a high note.
oh yeah.....York going to the Olympics. You knew it was coming though. Definitely deserves it, ALWAYS HUSTLES!!!

Kloucek is making the trip out west and expect him to get back in the lineup.

Ron Low said so in his Press Conference yesterday and he didnt seem to happy about the play of Igor Ulanovful. Expect Ulanov to be on the pine and may be the next Darren Van Impe to be on waivers.

Good to see you back Raven, and once again tonight Ulanov gives the puck away which leads to a point blank scoring chance for the Sharks.
He is horrible. And Dave Karpa sucks almost as bad.

You got to be happy that we have a 3-1 lead right now after 2, considering Fleury and Lindros are out. Another Hirrendous Officiated Game here. For the 3rd time this year we get a Match Penalty for something that wasnt even major worthy. Absolutely ridiculous.

Blackburn is outplaying Nabakov and thats the difference. Hopefully they dont blow it now in the 3rd.

Good start to the west coast trip. We always seem to play bad when out on the coast. Once again the refs screw us over. First off the match penalty uncalled for. Fleury clearly hit him on the thigh. The refs and the league seem to have it out for the Rangers. If you watched later on in the second period, nedved was away from the puck and was cross checked from behind, no call, suprise suprise. Nice to see graves get a goal.

Not to mention that ridiculous no Goal, that was almost a goal.

The net is off, the guy kicks the puck, and most importantly it goes in under the side of the net, and they rule it a goal.

Gross Incompetence. Yet the Rangers overcame all that. Bad Reffing, Backup Goalie, Your 2 Best Players and 2 of the best Players in the whole league are out for basically the entire game, you get outshot by a 2 to 1 margin, and your playing one of the best teams in the league.
Yet the Rangers win 5-3. Thats the sign of a good team and a bad night of San Jose goaltending.

That was a shitty call by the ref. Fleury shouldn't have gotten a match penalty, it didn't even look like the guy he hit was in sooooo much pain. I bet he was exagerating a little. Anyway, good start to the trip. The west coast refs seem to not like the East Coast teams, hopefully this awful reffing won't continue, absolutely ridiculous.

good solid game vs. a good team. Yeah, once again we got jobbed by refs, but again the team responded well. Kloucek sat while Ulanov again made a bonehead play. How many times does Low have to tell him not to pass up the middle???

Let's see if they can keep it up on this road trip.
