Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01	Talk about the NJ Devils. Whatever you want? Cuz we all know that they are the best team in this area. Rangers suck...If i had to pick a NY team to root for it would be the Islanders.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Thank You. Anyway, the showing on Saturday night, couldn't be further from this team looks like. They looked like an expansion team the other night, with six rookies and Colin White (Man does he suck). They'll be just fine.

Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01	I don't know Devil fans.... No disrespect but you were the best in the area for a long time now, but I see that all changing this year. With the the deals made by the Rangers (Berard, Lindros) the Isles (Peca, Yashin) The Capitals (Jagr) and the Flyers (Roenick, Brendl) they have more competition than ever before. The Flyers have been the closest thing to competition thus far and this year they are looking strong. The Caps are goiing to be even more amazing this year now that they got Jagr and the Isles have been incredible. The rangers have even been suprisingly solid. Also, the loss of Mogilny and the aging defense isn't looking too good for the Devils this year. They looked flat and uninterested in the first game and the Caps killed them. They still have a lot of heart and great coaching and will still finish in the top five but I don't expect them to be as dominant as they have been through the past 6-7 years. O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01	PB i hate to admit it but i somewhat agree with u on the fact that the Devils have more competition this year than ive seen in a long time. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	The Devils have more competition, of course. Let's remember who teh area teams have played and the Devils are the only ones who actually played a good opponent, with a minor league team, and lost 6-1.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	I don't care really for ALMO. If he score fine good for him, he can score in the regular season, but he wasn't there when they needed him. He wasn't there offensively or defensively so they made the right move by not resigning him. Whther you think so or not.

Rangers still suck, and islanders will look good for have the seasan then they will just blow it. what the hell is up with the devil's schedule. The play on saturday when the season started on a wed. and then they don't play again until a thursday. Well im confident they will win on thursday.

Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 01	Don't sell the isles short, the'll be good. But when it comes to the Division tital, it's between the Devs and Flyers. The Flyers look incredable, the Devils on have had one game since the season started (NHL always schedule the Devils like that in the begining of the season.), so it's hard to say, although the season opener was horrific. Tonight the Isles will test the Devs, and hopefully we won't have a repeat performance of last saturday.

While I did predict the Devils wouldn't be the same dominant force they have been for the past few years I didn't see them falling apart like this. 6-1 against the Caps and now 6-4 against the Islanders....this is baaaaaad. I know it's only 2 games for them so far but I expected better. Let's see what they can do against the Canadiens on Saturday...I hear they've been good despite losing Koivu to cancer. So far they are 2-0-1. Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01	Do't worry: In the preseason, Brodeur said it is going to take "a couple of months" before they really get tracked. I think the Devils will not be very dominant in the first half, but look for some 10- or 12-game unbeaten streak right around the holidays (just about the time the Islanders go winless about the same span;)). Then the Devils will creep on up the standings, win the Atlantic and take out Lindros - again! - just for fun. Maybe the Stanley Cup Finals is not exactly in reach right now, but let's get through the first 82 games before speculating too far (hippocrite). This is ice. It's what happens to water when it gets too cold. This is Kent - this is what happens to to you when you don't get laid. "DON'T TREAD!"

Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01	This is not the Devils hockey we have gotten used to over the past few years. Play is sloppy at times and they cannot hold on to leads the way they used to. Could it be the other teams have finally found a way to combat their style of defense or is the aging d the problem? I always said Martin Broduer was nothing without the defense and I think we are seeing that now. I noticed during the Stanley Cup finals that Stevens had slowed down. It's quite possible he's lost his edge. I don't expect him to last much longer. It's been quite awhile since the Devils have gone 0-3 at the beginning of the year. they had always been solid all year long with small streaks of inconsistancy towards the end of the year. So far this entire season has been wacky. The Devils are 0-3 and the Isles are 3-1...I'm starting to think this is BizarroWorld LMAO If I seem a little scattered There's an empty space where something used to beat I'm definately shattered Like some stupid piece of china How pathetic of me Let it be me, I'll be your poetry in motion. O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00	Well Devils fans, if the Devils dont beat the Rangers on Wednesday then it will be time to start panicing. The Rangers havent beaten the Devils in a meaningful game since 97.
