| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | psst...goat - the yankees don't have the highest payroll anymore. they are in the top 5, they always will be, but they spend wisely. do you know who else is in the top 5 in spending? the Mets and Red Sox. where are they this week? thats right, playing golf. The Redskins have the highest payroll in football, they've scored all of one touchdown this year. The rangers have the highest payroll in hockey, no comment there. i hate when people do that payroll shit, its beyond not true. I think that everyone has forgotten the original purpose of the Committee. It is mainly that BASEBALL fans, not just Mets fans (although i am a mets fan), who are sick and tired of watching the Yankees and their arrogant fans win all the time. We want that to end. And dont give me any shit about how you wont feel too bad when the yanks lose because theyve won 4 outta 5. If u dont feel bad about ur team losing, then ur not a real fan! When the mets were on a run this year at the end of the year, and then Benitez blew it, i was fucking pissed. So, i will give no sympathy to yankee fans, because they have not given any sympathy to mets fans ever. The real fans know that if they lose tonight they will be torn apart and there is nothing wrong with that. I just simply like to see the yankees lose. Just like i like to see the Dallas cowboys lose after they won all their superbowls. I can't wait until the yankees have a losing season.
