I am surprised no one started a predictions thread or analysis thread yet, so i'll take the liberty to do so at the last minute. Didnt want to steal anything from FB, also considering that i was unjustly hard on him last week for making a seperate NFL thread. There are no threads for week 5 yet, so i figured id start one.

NY Giants (3-1) at St. Louis Rams (4-0)
The Rams are the last undefeated team in the league, and just came off of a blowout win in Detroit. They are realtively healthy, having all of their big guns on offense (Warner, Faulk, etc), and a newly improved, young, defense. The Giants are coming off of a lackluster win last week against the lowly Redskins, where Collins looked average at best. Tiki Barber is still injured and will not play, and Ron Dayne will see limited action as well. Now, of course I will root for the Giants and hope they pull off the upset. But, the game is on turf, indoors, where the Rams are at their best. Plus, without Tiki, the Giants offense isnt good enough to compete with the Rams for 60 minutes. The defense for the Giants is superb, but I feel that they will be on the field for too long in this game and will wear down in the 2nd half.

Final Score: Rams 27, Giants 21

San Francisco 49ers (3-1) at Atlanta Falcons (2-2)
Dont look now, but the 49ers are 3-1, and playing strong. That offense is so dangerous right now with Jeff Garcia, in my opinion the best QB in football right now. The 49er defense is much improved from last year. They have a young, fast, intelligent defense that bends but donesnt break. Meanwhile, after a quick start, the Falcons are fading due to injuries. Chandler will play today for the Falcons, but is coming off of a concussion. Vick will see time too, but the Falcons defense will not be able to stop the high octane 49ers.

Final Score: 49ers 38, Falcons 13

New Orleans Saints (2-1) at Carolina Panthers (1-3)
The New Orleans Saints are coming off of a huge win against the Vikings, and Aaron Brooks is turning into one of the top tier NFL QB's. This team is exremely similar to the Giants, but right now, their running back, Ricky Williams, is healthy, and will cause havoc to that Panthers defense, which is not impressive. George Seifert will rely on Chris Weinke to win this game. While I think Weinke will do well (at least 2 TD's) it wont be enough. I also would look for at least 1 Defense TD by the Saints today.

Final Score: Saints 34, Panthers 17

Arizona Cardinals (1-2) at Chicago Bears (2-1)
The Bears have looked VERY impressive this year under QB Jim Miller. They dont have many names, but they can beat you in a variety of ways. Marty Booker is starting to develop as one of the game's best receivers. The defense, headed by Brian Urlacher, is doing an outstanding job of forcing turnovers this year. The Cardinals, who arent as bad as you think, are coming off of a last second comeback in Philly, beat the overconfident Eagles. They just dont have the defense against this Bears team that likes to punish you with the ball.

Final score: Bears 20, Cardinals 6

Cleveland Browns (3-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-2)
How bout them Browns? They are the surprise team of the year so far (San Diego is a surprise, but since the Browns beat them, they reserve the title). New coach Butch Davis is pushing all of the right buttons, and has turned a poor Browns defense into one of the best in the NFL. And Tim Couch is finally realizing his potential, as now he has a solid offensive line blocking for him. The Bengals started off well, but are turning slowly into the same old Bengals.

Final score: Browns 31, Bengals 13

Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at Green Bay Packers (3-1)
Maybe the game of the day here, besides the Giants game. Both teams are incredibly good at what they do. The Packers are coming off of a tough loss at Tampa Bay, where the temperature on the field was over 100 degrees. Now they are back in familiar conditions, and should stick it to the Ravens offense. Same old story with the Ravens, defense wins it for them. They do have a better offense, but not in this game.

Final Score: Packers 17, Ravens 7

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)
Somebody tell Dick Vermeil that his time has long past him to coach. The Chiefs arent TOO bad, they have a halfway decent offense. Trent Green STINKS though, and the defense is mediocre at best. Pittsburgh wins this one with defense, the same way theyve been doing it the past 2 weeks. Shhhhh...Kordell Stewart is doing a good job at QB and may finally be ready to step up.

Final score: Steelers 21, Chiefs 10

Detroit Lions (0-3) at Minnesota Vikings (1-3)
Well if the Vikings needed a shot in the arm, this is a good game to get it in. Has the potential to be a blowout, but not for who you might think. The Lions are coming off of a monday night embarrassment, but hitting the road could be what they need. The Vikings have a good offense, but Michael Bennett is a bust so far, and their defense STINKS. I think the Lions will go into Minnesota and beat the Vikings.

Fianl Score: Lions 22, Vikings 14

San Diego Chargers (3-1) at New England Patriots (1-3)
Coming off of a tough loss to Cleveland, the Chargers and Doug Flutie look to take it out on the Patriots, who have been too inconsistent. You never know what you will get from that NE defense. However, against the Charger defense, you do know that the Patriots, with Brady still as their QB, will have fits all day. I dont care if Terry Glenn is back or not. Chargers win going away.

Final score: Chargers 31, Patriots 11.

Tampa Bay Buccanners (2-1) at Tennessee Titans (0-3)
Titans 0-3?? Yep they arent good this year. Defenses have finally figured out that Steve McNair is not a great QB, and Eddie George just cant do what hes been doing every year. The Bucs have a great defense, as they showed last wek against the Pack. Their offense is poor, but Warrick Dunn is back this week. Alsott looked good last week too. Will be close because its in Tennessee.

Final score: Bucs 16, Titans 9

Miami Dolphins (3-1) at NY Jets (2-2)
The Jets are coming off of a huge win at Buffalo. But lets face it, Buffalo sucks this year. The Dolphins are better than Buffalo, and better than the Jets. The defense is top 3 in the league all around, and their offense has greatly improved with the addition of some deep threat WR's. When these 2 teams play, nothing is out of the ordinary, and today might not bedifferent. In the end, Dolphins win it.

Final score: Dolphins 31, Jets 20

Denver Broncos (3-1) at Seattle Seahawks (2-2)
Seattle does have a solid front 7, with John Randle and others. But their secondary has been awful this year. They are playing with Trent Dilfer, who knows how to win, although he isnt the greatest QB. The Broncos are just too good though. They have an offense that the Seahawks wont stop at all.

Final Score: Broncos 42, Seahawks 14

Oakland Raiders (3-1) at Indianapolis Colts (2-1)This is going to be a great game. Both teams have explosive offenses, the Colts a little more explosive. However, the Colts have a poor defense, and the Raiders will take advantage of that. The game is in Indy, but that doesnt mean it will be a sure win. Close game, but Im going with the Raiders.

Final score: Raiders 35, Colts 27

Washington Redskins (0-4) at Dallas Cowboys (0-4)
Wrestling ratings will go through the roof on Monday. This game wont be as bad as last week's debacle though. It should be competitive. I think that the Cowboys have more pride than the Skins do, and Anthony Wright isnt that bad. Actually hes pretty solid. Its just that the O-Line SUCKS! Despite that, I will pick the Cowboys to win based on that they play closer together, and have more guts than the Skins.

Final score: Cowboys 23, Redskins 13

That analysis looks good, except for two things:
1) The bears, I am thinking they post a shut out.
2) The Viking beat the Lions, convincingly. 35-10

OH yeah that monday game: hahahahhahaha aweful

Well I picked a bad week not to put in my picks.

Im currently 8-2-2 against the Spread
and 11-1 picking winners. The only loss being Denver over Seattle, which I was leaning towards Seattle I picked them with the points but figured the Broncos would win a close one.

Certain matchups alway tough no matter what the records:
Raiders Vs. Chiefs, Jets vs. Dolphins.

Jets played typical 1st half crud; should have been down 24-0. 2nd half was first time all year Jets looked good, and looked like they played with fire.
