What will happen here?? Do the Devils continue their fall from (near)greatness, or do the RANGERS go back under .500 for the second time this season??

Well if this was last season id say that the Devils are gonna bury the Rangers tonite. But since theyre off to a rather rocky start, its a toss up tonite. But I think that getting the 1st win of the season against their rivals, the Rangers, will boost the players and the fans confindence just a bit. GO DEVILS!!!

GO RANGERS!!! This is going to be sweet, as we kick the Devils while they are down. Its about damn time that the Devils and their fans go through what the Rangers and their fans (myself included) have gone through.

As a hardcore die-hard Devils fan, tonight will be their first victory of the season, and it will continue the win drought the Rangers have had against their #1 rival. Tonight is the time for NJ to step up and make a decision as to where they want to be this season, at the top or in the cellar. No better motivation than the blueshirts. LET'S GO DEVILS!!!!!

Well, I don't like either team but I have to root for the Rangers here. I'll laugh my ass off if the Devils drop to 0-4.
The Rangers look good so far, I think they have a good chance to win this game.

The devils have to win tonight. Or atleast they have to do something other than lose. Seriously, what has happened to the former eastern conference champions.

Hey I can always hope can't I.... I just hope he stays healthy so It can be rubbed in the Flyers face, just like what happened with Clemens after Boston let him go cause he was at the twilight og his career(after this 2 cy youngs and maybe 1 more this year)

Flipping around I saw Kloucek deliver a nice hit on Stephenson, although he took a penalty.

Is this his first game back? He's exactly what Rangers need.

Two words Aging defense . Seriously, Stevens and Neidermeyer are both having trouble and they have been the strength of the Devils game for years. I think it may be time for a game plan change.

*EDIT* Is it just me or is Stan Fischler the biggest idiot in all sports broadcasting?? The man annoys me to NO end. Francine Banger, comment? :)

Great game tonight. I hate the devils but have to give brodeur his due. He did great in the 3rd, or else OT wouldve never happened. How bout the Ritcher-Blackburn combo at goalie? Sounds good to me. Oh, and nice assist by Nedved on that hooking call :)

WOOOOOO!!! HOOOOOOOOOO!!!

The Rangers Win Streak Against the Devils Continues!!!! To 2!! (TWO!!!!!)

Oh that was a great win. And it was a typical Ranger-Devil game at the Garden with one exception, the ending.

Ive seen every Ranger-Devil game the past 4+ years and they have all been much the same.

90% of the games at the Meadowlands, the Devils have dominated the Rangers and had little trouble beating them.

90% of the games at the Garden, the Rangers have played well, but the Devils would always find a way to win or tie. 7 of the last 11 games at the Garden were ties.

Remember last year when the Rangers were outplaying the Devils thorougly and had a 5-3 lead in the 3rd, and Rafalski scored twice in the 3rd to tie it, the last one coming with the goalie pulled with a little over a minute left.

This was almost dejavu but thank God the Rangers got the game winner.

Brodeur was Amazing, that one play where he stopped Fleury and then somehow made that behind the back save on York, was amazing.

This was a great Goaltending matchup, and the Rangers are looking good now. 3-2-1. They now have to keep it up and get at very least 3 points during the weekend at Atlanta and Tampa Bay.

As FB said, WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Let's go RANGERS!! I'd love to see this streak continue against the Devils and with Richter playing the way he's been, and Blackburn looking great as his backup, it looks like we're gonna have a much better season. Kloucek is a valuable asset on D along with Leetch and Vlad. Karpa looked good also, making a couple good plays to get out of the zone. Give them a few more games together and this team will be gelling nicely.

On a side note, I have my fingers crossed that Lindros stays healthy. He's made some good contributions on offense, but looks like he's figure skating around center ice while we're in the defensive zone. He should let Theo do some "goal hanging" and come back into the defensive zone to lay some punishing hits on players in the slot, kind of like Gravy used to do.

Lookin good, Blueshirts!! Let's go RANGERS!!!
