Anyone else watch this show? I know its on at 5:30 when O&A are on, but I think it is the best show ESPN has had on in a while. Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon are entertaining, knowledgable, genuinely funny, and they get through so much shit in a half hour its mind boggling. If you like ESPN Sports Reporters or the Last Word with Jim Rome, I would definetly reccomend checking PTI out.

Im glad somebody brought this up. I watch PTI every day, as it is now my favorite TV show. These two guys are really good, and the format of the show is unique. I am not a big Jim Rome fan, but you dont have to be to watch this show. Tony and Michael make a great combination.

Yea, I like Jim Rome, but his show drags becasue a lot of the athletes he interviews are generally boring people. I don't think PTI bothers with athletes. I just got hooked on PTI and have only seen a couple of episodes, but so far they have yet to have any athletes on during the 5 minute interview segment. I'd much rather hear them talk or debate with other writers or analysts who are as opinionated as them.

I like the show, but that clock is so damn annoying. They can be on a roll on a subject, getting some really insightful stuff out there, and ding! the clock goes off and they have to move on to the next subject. Then there are the topics that they have nothing really intelligent to say about and just drol on, but they have to stretch it and continue talking about it till the clock rings. The show would be great without the clock, or if they hid it so they can spend a few extra seconds talking about a topic, or take a few away from one that's going no where, and no one would really know.

It's going to be difficult for a fledgling show to book anyone good, knowing that they're only going to showcase that athlete for 5 mins. tops. The show could use some tweaking to make it a really good sports show.

Mike Golic was on yesterday, does that count? LOL. And the clock can be annoying, but it is a part of the show. I personally like the idea because the topics they talk about dont get stale. The "Toss up" feature is very good too, and role play is pretty funny.

I like the clock too. It gives the show a game-show feel and allows Tony and Michael to get through a lot more subjects than any other half-hour show can possibly do. I don't like it when I'm listening to WFAN (which I never really do anymore) and the guy is going on and on about a subject for 40-45 minutes. I think the way PTI does it is a refreshing change. Sure, they don't get every idea across during their limited time, but they usually do very well and telling us exactly how they feel about the subject. And Role Playing is fuckin classic.

I love this show. These two guys were the only reason to watch the Sports Reporters (back when I did watch it) and now without Schapp, Lupika, or that fat guy from Philly's dead weight, they can really show how entertaining they are. We here in DC have always known that we had two of the best sportswriters in America, and now so does the rest of the country. I've always loved Wilbon, and now I'm warming up to Kornheiser.

Is the fat guy from Philly even alive anymore? I haven't watched the Sports Reporters in over a year. I remember a time when that show was just him, Lupica, Albom, and that ass clown Bob Ryan from the Boston Globe. Every single fucking week.

Anyway, depending on your definition of athlete they did have bowler Pete Weber (aka PTW) on there a week or so ago. I'm not the biggest Kornheiser fan since he seems like one of those holier-than-thou types, I like Wilbon. It's a pretty good and fast paced show overall though.

But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done.

I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."
