And as a Bostonian, here's why I fucking hate the new owners.

1. This was the only bidding group with whom the anti-christ Dan Duquette was tight. If he is not fired before New Years, there will be a revolt in Boston. He has completely, with malice and forethought, singhandedly destroyed the Red Sox franchise starting in 1998. So far this year, ever off-season move made has had the single purpose of hurting the Red Sox worse (Damon hasn't signed yet)

2. One of the partners (Tom Werner) was the main owner of the Padres in the early 90s. The same one that had such a bloated front-office that they had to dump salaries and talent (Alomar, Sheffield, McGriff, off the top of my head). Season ticket fans actually sued the team. Have you ever heard of that happening before? He was also there during the Roseanne National Anthem debacle.

3. One of the limited partners is the New York Times. The New York fucking times? Stay away from us. You have your own damn teams. Two of them actually. We hate you.

4. They are the only group that doesn't plan on building a new park. I HATE Fenway. Most actual baseball fans around her HATE Fenway. It's hell to get to either by car or subway, the seats tiny, wooden, and splintered, and were made in 1910 when the average size of a person was like 5-8, 140 pounds, and only about 1/3 of the seats have fully unobstructed views, and it was only like 5 years ago that they actually put urinals in the place. Before then everyone lined up and pissed in a trough. This is also bad becuase it's a sign that these guys are going to try and save money, and cut corners. We will continue to have the highest priced tickets in baseball, with a tiny stadium, uncomfortable stadium that sells out every night, yet our payroll might be in the middle of the pack.

5. Werner is that TV dude of Casey/Werner fame. Perrier sipping Hollywood Spago fag. Has the air about him like he's doing to show off to his friends that he owns a "sports club" of some sort. He also produced some of the worst shows known to man, including Roseanne, Grace Under Fire, Cybill, and 3rd Rock from the Sun

5b. Speaking of Werner. He's married to that fucking "perky" hellhound cunt Katie Couric. The last thing I want to see is her Joker-smile sitting on the 1st baseline in July when the Sox are still in the hunt for the pennant.

I need a new team to follow.

Yep, when I heard what group bought the team I just started laughing. This was the worst case situation for any Sox fan. It seems to me that the fix was in since MLB has a fixation with Werner (in spite of him running the Padres into the ground) and Henry. Now all you poor bastards will have to endure Duquette and Katie Couric's giant fucking teeth.

But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done.

I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."

How does Bud Selig, the worst commissioner in sports say that MLB is losing so much money and that only 5 teams made money. This does not include the Red Sox, who have not won a championship since the birth of Christ. This is ridiculous and Bud Selig is a goddamn joke.

The Yankees should be worth 100 billion if the Red Sox are worth 700 million. The Red Sox are a doomed franchise and will always suck.

And to add to the retardedness that is the Boston Red Sox franchise, the Mass Attorney General may try to block the purchase becuase of the final 4 qualified bids, the one that was accepted was the lowest one by about $90 million, potentially costing earmarked charities some $50 million.

The fix was in on this deal from the beginning. Major League Baseball is supposed to have no weight when in comes to who purchases a club, but Selig made the sale of the Marlins sale through so Henry could by the Sox, the owner of the Expos could buy the Marlins, and they could get rid of the Expos. Selig was the one who got Henry involved in with the Werner group to buy the Sox, and he's the reason why a bunch of charities in Boston are short $50 million.
