Just got done watching probably the pound for pound best in the world fight. Sugar Shane mosley added another win and knockout to his professional record. He upped his perfect record to 37-0 with 34 knockouts (the highest ko percentage of any active fighter).

Shane gets better and stronger with every fight, he was up against a valiant and strong fighter tonight. Previously underfeated wbc no.1 contender shannon taylor. Shane was so quick it was mind boggling. He threw what seemed to be a quick 2 punch combo. But on the replay it was actually a 4 punch combo to the head and body. He was fats, strong and just beautiful to watch.

No wonder why Chicken De La Hoya doesnt want a rematch. Well Oscar let me let you in on a little secret. You couldn't handle Shane then but now he is even better. Shane moved up from 135 to 147 in one shot something that took oscar 3 years. Shane fought oscar in his second fight at 147 and had no trouble. Now he is even more comfortable and stronger and faster.

Felix Trinidad also declined a fight with shane mosley. Trinidad has been granted a title shot right away if he move from 154 to 160 against william joppy. Instead of a great fight Trinidad is taking the shot at another belt. After a little less than a year from moving up 12 pounds shane was willing to go up 6 more for the trinidad fight an amazing feat in itself. Shane was willing to do it after one more fight in 3 months.

Trinidad is looking for a fight with roy jones jr at the catch weight of 168 pounds. Jones would have the harder task in that one. Jones fighta at 175 but around fight time he is closer to 190 or 185. Trinidad fights at 154 but around fight time he is already at about 164, or 166.

But mosley is looking for the big fights at all times. The man is amazing foot speed, hand speed, punching power. He throws to the body and head he had a 70% connect avg on power shots tonight. The fight was over after shane landed a viscious body shot that makes you cringe and then a left to the chin.

Finnaly a shining light in boxing, a man with no bad habits. A man entertaining to watch with no criminal record or court dates. A man who loves not only the fans but the sport and who always puts forth 100% he never says "i was off tonight..i wasnt interested." or some shit like that.

Also lennox lewis was interviewed and looks like him and mike tyson want the fight. Lennox has said that him and mike are on the same page and they both agree they want eachother this year. The latest offer is they split the purse which stands at a whopping 62,000,000 so each fighter gets over 30 million. But tyson would have to compensate showtime out of his own pocket. Lewis says he has leverage cause he is champ. But tyson says he has leverage cause his name makes this fight. No matter who tyson fighst people watch, who cares about lennox fighting hasim rahman?

Ahhh Another Boxing fanactic that knows his shit!

Mosely and Jones Jr are with out a doubt the best pound for pound (and then some) boxers currently out there and both hold even higher marks for their clean unspoiled out of the ring records.

Jones would have a tougher time dropping to make that wieght as Trinadad would have the advantage of needing to gain weight thus not hindering his strenthe but in no way would Trinidad still have a chance against Junior! His skills are far too refined for Trinidad who still looks like he's green in the ring at times.

Mosley put on a spectacular show that had the bar going nuts last night, his knockdown right was one of the best I have ever seen and the final kidney punch was without a doubt, the best placed shot I ever saw, (well with the exception of the one I laid on someone once LOL)

GonzoStyle, I think we need to get you to Co-Host with Bob Costas on his HBO special next week LOL, Good Job man.

lol thanks bull, i always thought besides sean and myself no one loved boxing around here.

I definetly agree that jones would not only beat trinidad but he would murder him. I've been watching jones fight close to 7 years now. Not only has he never and i mean never been hurt but i don't think he's lost more than 1 or 2 rounds a fight. Jones one time went 3 years without losing a single round.

Then there is roy's alter ego he likes to call "R.J" now everyone thinks that is just a joke. But let's look back to 1997 when jones showed how destructive he can be when he is at 100% in his rematch against montell griffin. He destroyed montell in under a minute thirty.he sent the man reeling across the ring like a 2 year old in the first 8 seconds and then proceeded to knock him unconcious. i Hadn't seen a vicious knockdown like that since tyson knocked out trevor burbick in 1986 to win the title.

Not to take away from trinidad it will not be an easy task because he will have the easier time making weight. Jones will encounter trouble making 168 it's been 4 years since he's had to make that weight. But lets not forget jones beat the man who contorls the middle weight division with ease. The same man even trinidad refuses to fight and that is bernard hopkins. Trinidad has great power and speed but jones is just way too much for him. I see the two men feeling eachother out the first 2 rounds cause both men know that an early knock out is impossible. If jones jr comes in as RJ at 100% i dont see trinidad making it past the 4th or 5th round. I doubt jones will seriously hurt trinidad because he has always said he hates hurting people that is the sad fact. Jones could KO anyone he wants but he never tries to. But either way trinidad will bring the fight to jones and junior will have no choice but to unload with flash combos and trinidad has a terrible defense which will give jones the chance to target practice with tito's face.

i've said it a million times mosley is the better boxer than jones is, only because mosley loves the sport unlike jones. But without a doubt roy jones is not only the purest and most talented boxer out there since sugar ray robinson but he is probably the purest athlete in any sport. The man is so gifted and talented that its almost sickening. He is so good that he makes people just look so bad. That was the downfall of larry homes but lets hope its not roy's downfall.
