| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | I have a question for all sports fans, especially the ones I'm going to focus on here. Why is it when your team isn't doing well, you feel the need to constantly berate other teams and their fans, especially rival teams? This goes for almost all sports teams. Yankee fans are up in arms because the Mets have signed some high profile players and accuse them of trying to buy a title. Fact of the matter is they are scared the cross-town rivals may give them a run for their money this year. Mets fans constantly live with the "Well, the Yankees bought all their championships" excuses. When the Rangers suck, their fans constantly have to bring up 1994 as if one fucking year in the past means everything. When the Devils suck, as in this year, I'm sure their fans are resorting to throwing around the "We've won 2 Cups in the past 6 years and have been in the finals the past 2 years." As for the Islander fans, I'm not sure what past glory you are hanging on to aside from the Cups you've won back in the 80's. I myself am a Devils fan and I'll be the first to admit my team sucks dick this year. You won't see me resorting to immature attacks and living in the past. Fact of the matter is they suck NOW and I will be embarrassed if they somehow make the playoffs. They don't deserve shit this year. So, the question remains, why can't some sports fans accept the present and admit when a rival team is better than them instead of showing their immaturity? P.S. I'm not saying all fans are like this, but I've heard plenty to know these people are out there.

But seriously, the only sports fans I really hate are most Philly fans, because sure The Eagles are good, but the Pens could beat the Flyers any day!
