| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Just one day before the trade deadline, the Devils shored up at goaltender, trading backstop Chris Terreri to the New York Islanders for the playoff-proven John Vanbiesbrouck. Vanbiesbrouck is 10-25-5 in 42 starts for the Isles this year, and has a 3.01 goals-against average. He's best known for his stellar goaltending in leading the Florida Panthers to the Stanley Cup finals in the 1995-96 season. Veteran Terreri has started 10 games this year for the Devils and has a 2.78 goals-against average.  | ||||

Beezer is okay, but, he has now played for all the local teams (Islanders, Flyers, Rangers). We shall see if this was a smart move in the coming weeks. Beezer may be getting older, but at least he was a starting goalie while Terreri was always just a backup. Thats gotta suck though going from a Division leader to the NHL basement!   | ||||

Im not sure when it was but when i found out i was pissed and have been pissed ever since, but now they got an experienced playoff goalie who can come in late in the season and take some pressure off Brodeur.  | ||||

Its not a killer trade for the Islanders, but what the hell are they supposed to do with Terreri who should of retired at least 3 years ago? And now Vanbiesbrouk will add his name to the Trivia Question. I was going to name them now, but Ill see if anybody else can name them. | Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I'm glad for Beezer. I was never a fan of his because I hate the fucking Rangers, but all the interviews I've seen since he has been on the island made me like him. Seems to be a good guy. I'm glad he has a shot at the cup with the Devils. God knows we are still 3 or 4 years away from being a contender. Good luck Beezer. | ||||
