The likely choices are Jason Kidd, Tracy Mcgrady, Tim Duncan, Shaq, Kobe Bryant.

I think both Shaq and Kobe cancel each other out and the Lakers although the favorite are not as good as last year.

Tracy Mcgrady has done amazing and has carried that team, but I don't see him winning.

The 2 most likely choices are Jason Kidd and Tim Duncan, both of whom carried their teams on their backs. Jason Kidd led the Nets to their best season ever in the NBA, but near the end of the season he kind of faultered.

My choice for MVP in a close race is Tim Duncan for leading the Spurs in a much tougher Western Conference than what Kidd has in the East. Duncan has just been absolutely unstoppable

Jason Kidd because his skills are just unreal and he was able to singlehandedly turn a franchise around

I think guys like Martin, Van Horn, Kittles, and McCullough had a little to do with it too.

They finally were all healthy and Kidd helped put them over the top.

MVP= Tim Duncan.

Kidd does.
Not only does he produce solid numbers night in and out, but the way he plays makes his team better. They had a point gaurd who scored alot of points last year, but he never passed the ball. Kidd not only puts up points, but he distributes the ball and is smart enough to deffer to one of his teammates when he goes cold.
Duncan's a great player, but he doesn't make the impact on his teammate's game the way Kidd does.

I give the nod to Kidd. He makes every single player around him better, which is the sign of a NBA great. Without him, this team challenges the Knicks for their lottery spot. Duncan is great, but the Nets would be much worse without Kidd than the Spurs would be without Duncan.

Proto next time you try to be wacky and funny,pick a player who is still in the league and is not retired.

Say Felton Spencer or something, then you might be mildly entertaining or witty.
