WHEN the NBA holds its lottery on May 19, at halftime of one of its biggest Sunday afternoon playoff games, the man who will be representing the Knicks on national TV will be Spike Lee. Most teams have their general manager, or a star player, on camera as the crucial draw is made to determine which of the league's worst teams get to pick first in the draft. But the Knicks are going with the Brooklyn-born movie director - a longtime courtside season ticket-holder, towel-waver and trash-talker to such Knick-killers as Reggie Miller.

I am sure he could not do any worse than Layden and Dolan.

I swear it was this big

Well, they have no star players, so that option is ruled out immediately. Layden will probably get boo'd out of the building if he shows his face. I guess Spike is the next best thing.

He's going to get booed out of the NBA Studios in Secaucus, New Jersey? Where its just NBA Personell in there, this isnt a public event.

And Id rather have Spike Lee make the pick then Scott Layden.

Believe me, he'll be able to hear every Knick fan curse his name, even if he is in South Africa.

They've been talking this up for a while.
With nothing legit to discuss, Knick beat writers were even interviewing DeBusscher about what he did to win the Ewing Lottery.

As FB put it, let Lee make the actual draft selection, not just the lottery ticket.

This is pathetic. Spike couldn't pick a winner out of his nose. Or his ass.

Sad thing is that the Knicks haven't hit bottom yet. And the NBA is at a 20-year low.

Thank God for World Cup soocer on 31st May.

Well, this won't happen.
According to today's Daily News Lee Spiked
For NBA Lottery Picks
League refused Knicks's request, saying only team representatives may sit at the Lottery Dais.

On a side note, Jerry West said Knicks never asked him about becoming their GM; that is the type of decision that concerns me about this team.

The knicks aren't going to get anywhere until they realize how to spend their money correctly, and picking draft picks that will play for them. Does anybody know where Weis is by any chance?
