Silent, what do you have satellite ? Do you know Tommy Smith ? or John Paul Della Camera ? I wish I could see more than the slew I already catch with D-TV.

Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid in the Final !

ESPN2, Fox SPorts World, and Fox Sports International broadcast many of these matches..........and the ones they don't broadcast my soccer freak friend orders on PPV.

I love my DTV :)

I can't wait for Bayern Munich vs the Metrostars on Saturday May 26, the day before the Indy 500.

Cart,

If I'm not in Deutschland then, I'll be at the stadium. Tomorrow I'll probably be in Hoboken at Mc Cann's checking out Finland vs. England, then head over to the pool tourney a couple of blocks over...

If we had ESPN-INt'l with our D-TV sports package, we'd have the whole soccer ball of wax. But I aint complain' :)

It's good that the tour will bring them here. The only downside is that we won't see most of the A-team. When the cream of the crop usually make their rounds on tour, many of the Internationals are on break after their long arduous seasons... especially this year, if Bayern makes it to the Final...

That's a good point rommel. That's one of the biggest things that drives me crazy about soccer leagues, The fact that I often tune in to see certain match-ups because they should be great games, only to find out that each of the teams have half a dozen of the best players away on responsibilities to other leagues.

Well the quarter-finals are done and for the few of us who actually care, the semi-final match-ups are:
Real Madrid vs. FC Bayern Munich
Valencia vs. Leeds United

I really can't pick a winner, hell I thought the final would be Man. U. and Arsenal.

Critics, Galatassray beat Real 3-2 after being down 2-0 in Turkey. Yesterday's match was played in Madrid at the Bernabau. Real's pedigree is just too powerful however, Gala has come a long way, and Turkish football for that matter...

Bayern Munich vs. Leeds United in the Final ! There isn't anyone that would've thought, including me, that Leeds would be the last English club standing. Kudos to O'Leary...

as for the bayern/metrostars match, you never can tell who a travelling team is going to bring with it nowadays. they may have world cup commitments, or other things they do in the off-season. i remember a couple of years ago with the inaugural, and only parmalat cup at the meadowlands, parma brought with it a pretty much full team, including stoichkov, zola and dino baggio, to name a few. they were in training for the new season so that wasnt a surprise, but who knows what will happen with the bayern game, although there are world cup qualifiers the first week in june, so that may determine things.

as for the champion league semis, madrid and bayern are a given, 2 tough teams that are always around during semis it seems. the other 2 are a surprise. i would say thats anyones game there, should be interesting viewing to say the least:)

p.s. cart guy, i was wondering, since you said it a couple of times, is the metrostar game the day before the indy 500, i was just wondering

Rommel - i was there that day when Galatasary won..the entire city went completely nuts that day

all they needed was a tie in Spain and they would have moved on, but it was not to be i guess
