| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Gary Thorne is the king of suck, his loyal subjects are Sterling and Kay! I actually enjoy Tom Seaver because he is hall of famer and unlike Joe ASS LICK Morgan, knows when to make a point and when to watch the game. Bob Murphy really should hang 'em up, as should Ralph Kiner(who only played for 10 years because he injured his back and didn't want to play below his expected level, yet keeps announcing 3 years after half his face went numb) I'm think you're gonna have to suck it!  capnfudge@opieanthony.com | ||||

Those that can do, those that can't announce. During the 95' Cup he said that the Devs didn't have a chance against the Wings... after the Devils won he said, "I knew they would surprise everyone." | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Bill Walton and Bob Costas = worse than AIDS. Costas just irritates the bejesus out of me... espcially while calling basketball. His baseball color is pretty shameless too. Rarely has anything interesting to say, he's whiney (as exemplified by the Vince Mcmahon interview) and downright irritating. Oh yeah... fuck Jim Gray too. I wish Pete Rose cracked him one upside the head when he had the opportunity. Best, on the other hand.... Marv, John Madden, Thomson, and although he's silly as hell, Walt Clyde has got to be one of the most entertaining announcers ever. Slice and Dice, post and toast, swish and dish, hustle but not the muscle. That guy cracks me up. SWISS CHEESE/MATADOR D!

I'm a fan, but also objective, and according to him, no Devil ever does anything wrong, and no calls ever go our way. It's sickening to listen to him. Also - I can't look at Matt Loughlin without hearing him do play by play of our high school football and baseball games for TV3 in the late '80's. He sucked back then too. I reason I mentioned it is because most of time when someone who was never associated with the sport you never expect them to be any good. Mike Emerick is a major major exception. Come on, he's teamed up Chico Resuch, and he's a complete moron. Gary Throne I love. Expect he was annoying me during the finals last year. During the OTs in Game 5 and 6 on almost every shot (except the one that actually won the Cup by Arnott) he said "And this is for the Cup!! NO!" or "***insert name here*** is on a breaking away to win the Cup!" pissed me off to no end and might I add it pretty much jinxed them during Game 5. BTW, does anyone know the 2nd-string (as ESPN puts it) commentators on ESPN (not ABC because that's Emerick and Melrose) Hockey behind Throne and Clement?? He does games with Darren Pang with did the second half of the Eastern Conference Finals last year. Because his voice annoys me and I'm very glad that the guys who made the Devils Championship Video didn't include his call during Game 7, it included Mike Miller's. ---Blake a.k.a. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | I must say that I'm with Eddie Haskell on this one, I was reading through this thread without getting overly worked up until I saw that woman's name. Every suckhole that calls in to her show tells her how great she is, they must do some call screening job. She is one of the most biased announcers I've ever heard. Please note that I am a Yankee fan. Her smugness in regards to her inside knowledge of the Yankee operation is rivaled only by Fat Francesa's.
