I just think its a shame not enough people dont bring him up when it comes to great players right now. I saw the closing package on TNT Friday, and there was no mention of him at all in there. Hopefully people will start realizing how talented this kid is. Hewitt sweeps to first Wimbledon title in straight sets By STEPHEN WILSON AP Sports Writer July 7, 2002 WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -- If there were ever any doubts about Lleyton Hewitt's status as the world's top player, there aren't any more. The 21-year-old Australian crushed David Nalbandian in straight sets Sunday in the Wimbledon final to win his second Grand Slam title, solidify his No. 1 ranking and confirm the changing of the guard in men's tennis. In a tournament where aging former champions Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi lost in the second round, Hewitt swept through without a hitch and put on a ruthless performance Sunday to win 6-1, 6-3, 6-2 in less than two hours. The match shaped up as a mismatch: the top-seeded Hewitt against No. 28 Nalbandian, a 20-year-old Argentine playing in his first grass-court tournament and his first match on Centre Court. And a mismatch it was. Hewitt never wavered, whipping his ground strokes with power and precision, dictating the points, making very few errors. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Tennis sucks now. i used to follow it, but there are only 3 people who can win in the woman's draw, and mens tennis is boring as shit (big serve, point, big serve, point, etc.). five or six years ago it was much more entertaining, there was more parity and more exciting tennis to watch.  I have no answers I am no hero, thats for sure But I do know one thing Where you are is where I belong Where you go is where I want to be. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | As far as tennis goes, yes it does suck. Im not going to sit down and watch a weekly event, theres just no point in it. And if you think the BCS is complicated, then check out the tennis scoring system. AWFUL. However, in the 4 "majors", especially the U.S Open, it gets interesting to watch. Women's draw is a joke with those monkeys, the Williams sisters. God i hate them, i can tolerate Serena, but i hate Venus.
