Just to throw a little more fuel on the fire...

Brian Leetch does not deserve to be considered one of the best defenseman in the league. One statistic tells all...the Plus/Minus.

For those of you who don't how the stat is kept here's an explanation...If your team scores while it is playing at even strength against the other team while you are on the ice, you get a plus 1. The other teams scores on you while you are on the ice at even strenght you get a minus 1.

Lets take a look at his career, he's a plus 19, not bad. But consider that he has been playing for 13 years, that's fucking terrible.

If he's so fucking good, why can't he keep the puck out of his own net? Scott Stevens is a Plus 346, and yes that is correct 346. Sure Stevens has played for 5 more years, but I don't think the Rangers are gonna be able to score 327 goals without giving up any while Leetch is on the ice. He's a one dimensional player that hurts the Rangers at even strenght. He can get away with being on the powerplay because there is very little pressure on the defensemen in regards to defending their net, but when it comes to 5-5, forget about it.

Leetch sucks and so do the Rangers.

Oh and in case you bring up the offensive numbers, Leetch and Stevens both have 855 career points. So cram it.

With that Top 10 List, wheres Vinny from Rosedale when you need him?

They may hold all those streaks because they have been around as long as anybody. And played back when there was the Original Six.

And you mention how when they do make the playoffs they usually get eliminated right away. Because they have lost in the First Round the most times. Well that may be true back when even if you sucked you were in the Playoffs. But since expansion. Heres the Rangers First Rounds in the 90's.

1990- 1st Round- Beat the Islanders
1991- 1st Round- Lost to Washington
1992- 1st Round- Beat Devils
1994- 1st Round- Beat Islanders
1995- 1st Round- Beat Nordiques
1996- 1st Round- Beat Canadiens
1997- 1st Round- Beat Panthers.

Thats 6-1.

And your really reaching in that Top 10. Why dont you just worry about your own team and not Top 10 Reasons why The Rangers Suck. What satisfies you most a Devils Stanley Cup or the Rangers not making the playoffs?

And enough of this Brian Leetch plus/minus stuff. Sure he's got a bad plus minus. But its simple math. When you play 30 minutes a night, and your team loses a majority of their games. Your plus-minus will not be good. If Leetch played for the Devils and played 30 minutes a night, He would be a plus.

I'm actually happier with the Rangers not making the playoffs. Whether the devils win the cup or lose in the playoffs is no big thing for me...at least they were in the playoffs and had a chance. It's a shame the same can't be said about the Ragners

Time to break the Holik jersey out, crack a few brews and throw the stereo on for full surround sound of ESPN's National Hockey Night
