O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	did you hear about the rule changes that will go in effect next season? illegal defense will be eliminated, allowing teams to play zone defenses a defensive 3-second rule will prohibit a defensive player from remaining in the lane for over 3 seconds without guarding someone. the time a team has to bring the ball up court will be reduced from 10 seconds to 8 seconds the goal of these new rules is to increase offense. but i think allowing teams to play zones will reduce offense because teams will have to rely more on the 3-point shot, and post plays and pick and rolls will become obsolete. also, offensive talents like iverson and carter won't be able to isolate and play one on one. O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01	It sounds like a good idea if it stops all of the one on one isolation plays and it speeds up the game. All your beers are belong to us. Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00	Well it is only allowing and not requiring the zone so teams will still play man to man and not zone all the time. I love this cause it makes you play like a team, I haven't been able to watch the NBA lately cause its been like a 1 on 1 game with 8 other guys just running up and down the court.
