LOS ANGELES – Charles Barkley, getting in shape for a possible joint NBA comeback with Michael Jordan, plans to move in with Jordan for a month of serious training before a decision is made.

Barkley said in Thursday's Los Angeles Times that when his broadcasting duties with TNT end May 24, he'll live and train with Jordan in Chicago.

Barkley said Jordan came to his home in Scottsdale, Ariz., last week and they played in a scrimmage with Phoenix's Penny Hardaway.

"Michael looked great," Barkley told the Times.

Noting that Doug Collins is leaving his job as an NBC commentator to become coach of the Washington Wizards, Barkley said, "If that isn't an indication that Michael is coming back, I don't know what is."

Barkley said he is working out twice a day and has lost 45 pounds since he and Jordan began training for their possible comebacks at the start of the year.

Barkley now weighs 292 pounds and would like to get down to about 265. Jordan has lost 25 pounds.

i still dont see why either would even consider making a comback, Jordan couldnt go out on a better note than he did, hitting the game winning shot in the NBA finals to win his 3rd straight, you cant beat that,
and as far as the round mound of rebound, he is just plain old too fat to play anymore, even if he loses some more weight, he will still be out of shape and wont even be close to where he was even on the downside of his career with the rockets

Yeah but don't you wanna see Jordan play again. He is only the best ever. Maybe he can shut some of these young guys up.

Exactly, what I wouldn't do to see Jordan and Sir Charles come back and teach some of these new so called superstars a thing or two about how basketball is really played. It pisses me off seeing where the game is headed right now and I'd love to see those 2 go to Washington along with maybe Ewing and somebody else and hopefully force these young arrogant cocksuckers up to shut the fuck up.
