| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00  | The Milwaukee Bucks are claiming a conspiracy concerning their recent loss to the 76ers in the Eastern Conference Final. They claim that the referees were swayed by the league to give calls in favor of Philly. The league would rather see a bigger market like Philadelpia to play the Lakers rather than Milwaukee. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | It seems that every time a smaller market team loses a big game or series, in just about every major sport, they whine about how the league would rather have the bigger market teams in the finals. Now, first of all, the NBA has already received the money for the TV contract for this season. If anything, they would simply want whichever team has the best chance of extending the series, more games equals more money. Secondly, do you not think that the league would love to see one of its classier young stars (Ray Allen) in the finals? The NBA would love to be able to promote guys like Allen and Tim Dincan, poster boys if you will. It happens in Baseball, Football and even Hockey, of course the leagues want to draw as many fans as possible, but to actually get caught interfering with results would be fatal. It wasnt the ref's fault that they couldnt even make a game out of it yesterday And correct me if Im wrong, I do believe it was Glen Robinson, NOT A REFEREE, who missed a 5 foot jumper as time expired in Game 5 that probably would have won them the series. The Bucks are even worse than the Heat with their bitching. They deserve to be where they are right now. At home.  | ||||
