| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I'm not a Knick fan, so I need help here. Why in hell would this team pay a guy with a career avg. of 16.4 ppg $100 Mil? Don't they ever learn? They have been the proud owners of some of the most retarded contacts ever. I just don't understand it. They overpay overrated talent, and then get cap strapped and are forced to start guys like Kurt Thomas and Mark Jackson. The Dolans and Laydens should all be shot. I feel for you Knick fans I really do... You just bought yourself at least another 6 years of Mediocrity. Just another observation of insanity. Well, he is the best at missing foul shots in the 4th quarter and playing piss-poor defense. If thats what he meant by being the best, then i have no complaints. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | god i hate Scott Layden. as much as i love Allan Houston, i really don't understand this move. i think he should have tried to trade houston and keep Sprewell (the better of the two), so then we'd have only one starting 2 guard. but that would have made sense. and why the hell would he pay clarance weatherspoon as much money as he did. he's an undersized guy who plays the same position as LJ, Kurt Thomas, and Marcus Camby. now the Knicks won't be able to sign any of the rookies from the class of '99 when they become free agents because they'll still be over the cap.
