Lennox lewis has reportadly signed a contract to fight ibf, wbc world chmapion hasim rahman. Lewis was fucked up by rahman last april with a one punch over hand right that ko'ed lewis.

Rahman had been shafted by richard steele in his match with david tua 4 years ago. Rahman proved he was the worthy champion but i pick lewis to avenge his loss like a la joe louis vs. max schmeling in 1939.

Lewis has signed the contract and lewis already scored a huge victory King has agreed to let HBO air the fight even though king usually runs with showtime. King will now return to china to have rahman sign. King signed rahman to a contract with king promotions after his victory over lewis.

A judge ruled that rahman must face lewis or not fight for 18 months. Rahman was looking for a big pay day with the number one ranked contender by the wba which ir iron mike tyson but that fell through. Rahman knows he will be another leon spinks and buster douglas.

Tyson is rumored to be fighting in copenhagen in september. The reason King must fly to china is he is promoting the rubber match between wbc champ John Ruiz and Evander holyfield. Holyfield fought ruiz earlier this year and lost a decision. Ruiz was shafted in the 1st fight but then again holyfield is a shodow of former majesty. The fight will take place august 5th it will be the first championship match in the far east since buster douglas ko'ed mike tyson in the 10th round in tokyo. Rahman will be a commentator for the match.

Whoever wins will then go into negotiations for the manditory challenger for november which once again is Mike Tyson. Tyson has not fought since knocking out Andrew Golata last november.

All I have to say is that every last one of these chumps in the heavyweight division (Lewis, Rahman, Ruiz, Tua, and yes, even Tyson - I left my boy Holyfield out because I'm praying that he has enough sense to retire soon) are lucky that Ike Ibeabuchi is locked up right now, because he would destroy any one of them. The guy is a complete fucking lunatic with a nasty mean streak and killer instinct.

And GS, I completely agree with you that Rahman is afraid of being the next Leon Spinks or Buster Douglas, although I would love to see Lewis get knocked on his limey ass again.

Wow dude no one here really knows boxing since Bullnuggets left. I was gonna mention Ibeabuchi but i figured no one would know him.

Max kellerman the announcer for friday night fights on espn has always said ike should be the champ now. Ibeabuchi had a fantastic fight with David Tua in 1999 they set the record for most punches thrown in a heavyweight fight breaking the record previously held by ali and frazier. Ibeabuchi destroyed tua, Ike reminds me of tyson a la 1987 short with strong stubby legs and a massive upper body. Granite chin with a knock out power in both hands. Great overhand right and a great double pump upper cut just like tyson had. The only problem is Ike is in a padded room at the moment in a mental ward. Ike was the manditory challanger after beating tua but tua got the spot after ibeabuchi was locked up. Ike has the power of a tyson with the ring savvy of joe frazier and the prowness of sonny liston a ring thug who is all business. fuckin shame he is nuts though, then again tyson is still licensed.

Finally someone who knows boxing now a reason to post here, lol.

Hey ants what do you think of the upcoming match ups between kostya Tszyu Vs. Zab Judah and Trinidad Vs. Hopkins?

I say Trinidad is making me sick the guy seems to have a no re-match clause in every single fight. He loses a controversial decision to de la hoya and moves up to 154. He low blows his way past vargas and moves up to 160 now. The guy is an amazing fighter but he wins controversial decisions and then runs it makes me sick. The guy can keep running and running but one day he will run right into a brick wall named roy jones jr. I say if hopkins sticks to his in ring savvy and knowlege and out thinks trinidad he can win. Hopkins is a mental giant in the ring compared to trinidad.

As far as tszyu and judah that should be an awesome showdown as well. I can't pick a winner yet judah is young and savvy and has the speed advantage but he's never had his chin tested and he's been put down by mid level fighters. He has a ton of talent more than even mayweather but he doesn't hon it. Tszyu has the power advanatge i say if zab comes prepared he wins though.

Now that's a hell of a description, and 100% accurate. When Ike knocked out Chris Byrd a couple of years ago (that might have been his last fight before he got himself in trouble, I'm not sure), he hit Byrd sooo hard that he literally almost took his head off. What a fucking knockout, one of the most brutal I've ever seen.

It's a thing of beauty.

And as far as Trinidad vs. Hopkins (which I'm probably going to)...

Exactly, and that's if he can get past Hopkins. I keep telling everybody not to underestimate Hopkins, they don't call him "The Executioner" for nothing, he takes care of business.

I was at the Hopkins-Holmes fight at MSG in April, and Hopkins didn't impress me much that night, but if he is at his best on September 15th, Trinidad is in for what may be the toughest fight of his career (and I still say that De La Hoya should have won that decision against Trinidad, but that's another story). I just hope it's true that the winner will meet up with Jones in January, I'd love to see either one.

And finally...

My only prediction on Tszyu vs. Judah is that if Judah wins (which I hope he does), it will be by decision, and if Tszyu wins, it will be by KO. Other than that, it's too close to call.
