I meant Top 10 STARTING pitchers in the title.

Seeing how everyone is talking about batters, i figured i would list 10 pitchers i would want on my team right now. This list can be whatever you want it to be, i.e., you can have pitchers that are just doing good this year, or pitchers who have had a great career that are still active. The one constant is that the pitchers must be active.

My list, in no particular order:
1. Randy Johnson
2. Pedro Martinez
3. Curt Schilling
4. Greg Maddux
5. Tim Hudson
6. Wade Miller
7. Roger Clemens
8. Chan Ho Park
9. Freddy Garcia
10. Kerry Wood

Close to top 10: Andy Petitte, Jason Schmidt, Kevin Brown, David Wells, Al Leiter, Ben Sheets, Bartolo Colon, Tom Glavine, Eric Milton, and Rick Reed

It's funny, nobody has picked more than 1 reliever. Do you expect everyone of your pitchers to throw a complete game every outing?

In no order:

1. Pedro Martinez
2. Randy Johnson
3. Curt Schilling
4. Greg Maddux
5. Al Leiter
6. Tim Hudson
7. Kevin Brown
8. Armando Benitez
9. Antonio Alfonseca
10. Mariano Rivera

Thats why no one has any relievers.

My top 5 relievers...quite different from BallonNot's list, but neiter one of us is right or wrong

1. Troy Percival: most overlooked closer in baseball, has the nastiest splitter in the game.
2. Mariano Rivera: i hate the yanks, but this guy is the real deal...hes lost some over the past few years though
3. Robb Nen: every year this guy has 40 some saves, he will again this year
4. Armando Benitez: Can easily be #3 or #2, but his mental attitude is the real question
5. Kaz Sazaki: He does play for the best team, and got to 30 saves this year the fastest, but his stuff doesnt impress me as much as these other guys.

Sad reality: Great closers are hard to come by. There are a lot of solid ones, but most of the closers/middle relievers today are either failed starting pitchers or starters who cant throw that many innings anymore.
