A Red Sox thread on this board would go nice or how about a Cubs thread for Mets fans. We can also make a Dallas Cowboys thread. See jackass. Horrible idea. (AP) -- With their top two quarterbacks injured, the Washington Redskins signed veteran Tony Banks on Thursday. Banks was released Tuesday by the Dallas Cowboys after two exhibition games. He was the Baltimore Ravens' starting quarterback at the start of last year but lost his job at midseason to Trent Dilfer, who led the team to the Super Bowl title. Banks also has played for St. Louis. The Redskins needed a healthy arm because Jeff George has tendinitis in his shoulder and Todd Husak has a strained rib muscle. Banks was in uniform for Thursday afternoon's practice but will not play in Friday's game against Atlanta. Unless Husak's condition improves, fourth-round draft pick Sage Rosenfels will start.
