Tower Records.

I bought alot of CD's for $9.99(good bands too) and i think the highest priced CD i bought was $12.99 which is very good in comparison to prices of other stores.

Have stock in the company, Ninny? Why don't you list all the albums you bought in the last year. That way we'll know exactly what you bought and where.

Then we'll have something read to lull us to sleep at night.

Quote:I don't mind the artists getting paid for their work but 20-25 bucks a cd is outrageous.

That's all profit for the record company. Do you know how much the artist makes off an album sale??? Unless you're a big time act, it's usually less than a dollar an album (and no, that's not each if its an actual band with 4 or 5 members, that's total.) That's why I loved Napster for forcing the evolution of cd sales. You notice, before Napster, a good price for a new cd was usually $16-18. Now, its down to about $10-12 because people found out that its cheaper for a guy on the street to produce a cd.

Comcast offers "Rhapsody". You pay $9.95 per month for all access, but then pay additional fees to download. I would think that when all is said and done, it would have been cheaper to just buy the cd in the store. Unless of course, you're just burning mixes.

Is there a comparison of the different services anywhere?

My wife said she heard Kazaa was going to offer lifetime membership for 40 bucks. I haven't looked into it any further. Anyone hear anything on this?

I'll just continue to borrow my friends cds and burn copies. Being poor blows.

You (or your wife) are paying for Kazaa?

If so, why?

Get the latest version of KaZaA Lite. It's free, has no spyware or banner ads, and now includes all the goodies that used to come seperately in KaZaA Hack (such as unlimited searching and Accelerator functions).

He was only sixteen
living in a madman's dream
The cops shot the kid
just to hear him scream
Now this isn't funny
So don't you dare laugh (ha-ha)
Straight and narrow
Or you soul gets cast
(goodnight)
