Perhaps you are mixing hope with desire.

Life Lessons - MYLF - 05-04-2003

Stop confusing me.

No, if I don't have hope/faith that something can work out, why would I bother pursuing it? I could have a desire for something but no hope of it panning out so I wouldn't act.

fayth? (getting shivers)

hope and faith are non-action things.

Desiring, wanting implies that perhaps you will do something about it.

I feel ther is a big difference. One leaves it up to chance, something else, fate, whatever. The other puts the onus on you. so, I prefer the latter. Hoping never has worked for me. Maybe it's from being disappointed too often.

I think we just define "hope" differently. When I say hope, I don't mean leave it up to chance, I think of it as following your dreams etc. and having hope that your actions will lead to success. So, I think we actually agree, but using different words.

I've never had an onus on me.

Is it anything like having an anus on me, cuz I've had that a few times.
