My opinion (for what it's worth):
The guy's 15 minutes of fame have expired. Let him be.
If he were still attempting to put himself in the public eye, then I would consider him to still be fair game. But if he is trying to have a normal, quiet existence, and has "moved on", so to speak, then so should we.
