Like not getting the phone turned on for two weeks. Thank god for cell phones or I'd need to run a string and tin can down the street so my parents can contact me.

We've got Comcast digital cable and modem...never have problems (knock wood). If you're trying to save money, why not down grade to just plain old cable?

If you ever need to call tech support for your internet service NEVER tell them you use a router. They "don't support routers." Thus any problem you have will be attributed to you using a router. This is bullshit and they are lying cocksuckers.

Isn't it illegal to setup a router without the assistance of your internet/cable provider?

They tried to run the same bullshit on me. Lazy cocksuckers want to play pass the buck.

The first thing the cocksucker tells me when he gets there is since this is a new apartment and the contractor did all the wiring and whatnot Comcast can't be responsible for any signal strength issues.

As if 100 feet of cable is going to fuck up the signal any worse than it is after the cable company splits it six ways off of their one cable.

As for the router, my normal tech checklist for myself includes unpluggin all router connections and hooking up one computer directly to the modem to see if that works. If not then I call tech. Who then runs down the same stupid list of suggestions to which I say "mmhmm" after each one, then they can shut up and listen to my problem.

If you're first suggestion is going to be to unplug the modem and reboot your computer hell I could work tech support.

just an update, I just moved last week and the reception still sucked. Comcast came today to install the broadband and swapped out the cable box: crystal clear reception. The whole time it was just a shitty cable box. Confusedaint2:
