Two fairly unknown, but interesting movies
#1
With all the talk of upcoming summer blockbusters mainly focusing on 4 "biggies" (Matrix Reloaded, Terminator 3, The Hulk, & X2), I found a couple of somewhat unknowns that look pretty cool in their own right.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Underworld

Well, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman is based on a rather obscure comic book series, so the question is will it find a large audience.

Comparing how well a second-tier character like Daredevil did in comparison to what Spidey, the X-Men, and Hulk have or will do at the box office, something tells me only the most hard-core enthusiasts are going to go see it.

Besides, the charcaters in LXG are all based on literary figures... how many people are even aware of who Allan Quartermain, Mina Harker, and Dorian Gray are? (And do you think they'll flock-- no pun intended -- to see a movie where Tom Sawyer and Captain Nemo team up with the Invisible Man)?

That movie's going to be fucking awesome....aside from the fact that in the movie based on the novel Picture of Dorian Gray Gray was total queer monger.

It probably won't be a big seller for those reasons, but the trailer and the idea are pretty interesting.

That's fine with me though. More room if the Mrs. and I go to see it. We hate crowded theaters.
