Ben, J. Lo reportedly call it quits

THE SCOOP IS shocked — shocked — that Ben and Jen didn’t get hitched as scheduled. The way Ben looked anywhere but at his fiancée when they were on the red carpet, his little jaunt to a strip club — these were just the normal pre-wedding day jitters. This was the most romantic, intimate celeb romance since Madonna smooched Britney.
There are, of course, a multitude of theories:
They will elope because Jenny from the Block hates fanfare, excess and attention.
They are waiting until the press attention dies down, and then they’ll start the whole mess up again.
His friends staged an “intervention” and told him not to do it.
They were underwhelmed by the dollar amounts the tabs were offering for the exclusive rights to the wedding pics.
They have already split and Ben is currently auditioning replacements.
Overwhelmed and confused by all these conflicting theories, your industrious Scooper called up a FOB, that is, a friend of Ben’s. This is an individual who has been saying for months that Ben really didn’t want to get married, that the whole wedding was like a freight train that he couldn’t stop.

But what, the Scoop wanted to know about all those alternative theories, that the wedding secretly being planned at some far away location, further and more secretive — if you can believe it — than that remote region of Santa Barbara. “I don’t think this is a decoy plan at all,” FOB said. “I spoke to someone close in that camp (Ben’s camp) yesterday and they are popping bottles of champagne over there because they never wanted to see him marry her.”
Popping bottles of champagne?? No! Why could they be so cruel? In a relentless pursuit of answers, the Scooper unearthed this article, which perhaps provides a clue to what when wrong. Call it, the $100 milkshake clue.
