see, I never liked that label "hardcore"...Early 90s "hardcore" meant one thing and now it means something else.
people call Killswitch Engage "hardcore" and I'm like, "nope, they are metal" but hey, what can ya do?
and I sure wouldn't lump "hardcore" and "emo" together. I love Coheed for certain reasons just like I love my metal bands.
as much as I love/worship metal, I do enjoy jazz and classic rock and some rap and classical music as well...imma musician, gotta have wide influences because in the end, it helps you write better material. (at least, I'd like to think so.)
