Gee.... everyone is supporting the vices they love. Imagine that. Just like all of the potheads supporting the growth of marijuana purely for the production of hemp......
I would:
Open relations with Cuba, turning the country back to a gambling vacation resort, much like Aruba.
Terminate Ally status with France. They have never supported us.
Drop the favorable trade status with China.
Remove ourselves from the Phillipeans.
Push the automotive industry to develop cleaner, more fuel efficient vehicles, even electric. The sooner we are off of oil, the better.
Research more gravity/damn producing sources of electricity. I am sure we can get more out of Niagra.
Try my best to wash my hands of Isreal. That is a conflict between 2 people whos differences lie within their religion and they would rather kill and die than to live.
Make education affordable and have federal education standards (read minimums) for Math and English/reading comprehension. States will still have control their education, but I would have requirements that a 6th grader can at least read at a 4th grade level. This exam would be Pass/Fail as to not be benchmarked. I would also allow any student who graduated high school the ability to attend a State University for 5 years with a student loan whose payments start 1 year after graduation/5th year.
I would install a 17% flat income tax, hereby killing my career. All companies and individuals would pay 17%, thereby eliminating tax shelters and my career.
I would combine Conneticut, Rhode Island, and Massechusettes as one state, and finish the annexation of Puerto Rico and make it part of Florida.
And I would allow the "forward pass" in football.
