OK, responsibility is key, I'm all for making people take responsibility for their actions, oh that reminds me, I'd impose penalties on the people who bring frivilous lawsuits. No, I don't know how/who would define frivilous, but I can guarantee you that someone who nukes their cat in the microwave trying to dry them or someone who spills hot coffee in their laps would not get lots of money, maybe just a free trip to a class for common sense. I think it's ridiculous for people to be rewarded for stupidity.

But I just got off topic - I'd personally make cigarettes illegal, and yes, I'm a smoker. Like with drugs, I wouldn't go stand on a street corner to try and buy them.

Alcohol, unlike cigarettes, does not kill people directly unless it's abused. I'm for stiffer drunk driving penalties but not making alcohol illegal.

I would raise the drinking age, driving, fighting age, voting age all to 21 so they're in sink. I don't think most 18 year olds can handle the responibilities, nor should they incur the burdens.

I personally would not make drugs legal, well maybe pot, I don't know, I'm torn on this one, because I'm not sure I understand/know all the repercussions of doing so.

And I totally agree that people need to be better educated because how can you make a good decision if you don't have all the facts.
