i did an essay for psych on this. there has been experiments that correlate people that play video games and violence. All that means is that violent people play video games. They have never been able to prove that people get more violent when they play these games, there are too many other factors. so yes if the people are going to shoot someone they'll probably enjoy doing it in the game so they'll do it. but the vast majority of the people will not get more hostile, and atleast in my case are able to let out some aggression in an acceptable way.
