Well, just to be fair, people have sold their <i>Everquest</i> characters on Ebay for actual money, so the "virtual property" argument is fairly legit.

All data/information, whether on paper or stored on a hard drive, belongs to <i>someone</i>, does it not? Whoever created said data or info can probably claim first dibs on it, even if that stuff was placed on someone else's paper (or in this case, hard drive).
