Perception, Truth, Humor, and Privacy
#1
Perception equals reality?

For those perceiving, yes.

Equals truth?

Not neccessarily.

For the most part, people perceive me as pretty smart. However, the truth is, I am pretty dumb.

Between perception and truth, lies humor.

"Humor is something that thrives between man's aspirations and his limitations. There is more logic in humor than in anything else. Because, you see, humor is truth." ~ Victor Borge

Privacy protects the facade that the perception is the truth. Humor is the tool that creates the barrier to the truth.

In one fashion or another, we are all losers. It's just how far one goes to hide it that makes all the difference.

At least that's how I see it.
