As far as 102.7 losing its license is concerned, the Catholic League dropped their push to have the license revoked once O&A were taken off the air. That was their condition. The FCC themselves didn't really have much to go on for revoking the license, they were simply riding on political pressure from the Catholic League.

Remember, the FCC only received one valid complaint based on the Sex for Sam incident. A "valid" complaint is defined as one made by someone who actually heard the show. The protesters who were lobbying the FCC hadn't actually heard the show, they heard ABOUT it, either by word of mouth or on the news. FCC complaints don't work that way. You have to be offended by what you heard, not what you heard about.
