Keyser is right. It's just liek when people say "For Christ's Sake," some offered to say "For Pete's Sake". I don't believe that is was intended to be an expletive, but it just developed into one. It was more of a way to have some one do something.
"For Christ's sake, build this church
then .....move this rock
to .....TURN OFF THE EFFIN LIGHTS
and then finally it stands on it own
