I think it's more of people growing apart rather than isolating themselves. I used to play and talk to everyone on and surrounding my block up until i was about 10 then i stopped talking to some and hungout with them less and less. I still know and talk to a couple really close friends, people i've grown up with but for the most part no.

As kids get older they just get into different things, someone might go and join the soccor team while another is in a band. It's not that uncommon but it doesn't mean you can't be cordial with them when you run into one another. Unless of course they're dirty scumbags and deviants.

kids are too busy sitting at home on their computers & playing video games.

why do you think there is such a weight problem in the country.

I agree with that. I think TV is a major problem too. MTV mostly. I see 10 yr olds walking around with cell phones. Who's gonna call them ? Theyre moms ? That and every little bastard around my neighborhood thinks he's the next white rapper.....trying to be a little gangster and what not. Sorry....but Im all against having these litte shits outside being wiseasses, hanging on the corner talking about "bling-bling"

I agree george.
I live across the street from a school and there's all these stupid little gangster wannabe shits hanging out, esp. in the middle yard where its harder to see them, and smoke pot and do grafitti (its shitty anyway), like they think they're someone cool.

i used to live directly across the street from Long Island City High School. kids today have no manners, i was walking down the stairs in my building and there was this fucking little faggot taking a piss in the front hallway. i proceeded to beat the shit out of him, roll him around in his own piss till he was covered and then threw him out the front door to his friends. things got better after that. maybe these kids today just need a swift kick in the keister.

I think their parents are the ones who need to get smacked around. They're all pussies and think their kid couldn't survive a minute without "an activity". When I was a little kid, my mom didn't set up play dates, I just went outside and found 20 people playing. My parents still live in the house I grew up in, and the only time you ever see a kid outside is when the ice cream man goes by.

i love watching the fat fucks of todays youth go waddling after the ice cream guy.

sometimes i like to say witty comments to their moms like "buy your kid another couple of cones, her ass is still barely fitting into her pants

Its like this all in alot of places. I visited a friend in Texas last year in May and at 1:00 on a Sat. afternoon,70 degrees, sun shining, the "perfect" day for a kid to be outside. There wasnt one on the street. I even said to him," Wow,you have no kids living on your block " and he told me that theres at least 20 kids on the block all around 8-12 years old but they never just hung out on the street. They either went to each others houses or to play inside or in the yard or they all were on the computers,IM'ing each other.
